Bullshyt show me how many 5 or 6 loss schools from other conference getting ranked inside top 20. Auburn lost 4 of its last 5 games and gets rewarded with a #6 ranking. Arkansas beats no offense playing LSU and a shot to shyt Ole Piss and they get crowned the best 6 loss team in the history of the sport. These rankings are bullshyt and everyone but these southern SEC clowns know it.
He don't get it man, ive tried to show him the bias, i just let him cook now :snoop:

I like how you cut it off at 5 losses. cause USC lost 4 games last year and is top 10. media is trying to project who will be great. and RECRUITING comes into this. its why FSU is top 10 eventhough they lost pretty much their whole squad to the nfl. its why USC is considered a national championship contender eventhough they haven't been relevant for several years now.

hate on the fact the media/coaches give weight to RECRUITING RANKINGS more than blind SEC bias. Auburn is a consistent top 10 recruiting school. They'll get pre-season hype every year. LSU is the same. Ole Miss (under Hugh Freeze) has improved in recruiting and is getting that shine.

Arkansas is the only legit beef you have. They're not a great recruiter and they really didn't show much last year outside of the last 3 games. I think they're the media darling that will dissapoint the most this season. I see them as a 6-6/7-5 team AT BEST.

in the last 3 years, here are the top teams when it comes to recruiting (per 247's composite rankings)

TIER ONE: top 10 recruiter every year

Alabama – 1, 1, 1
Ohio State – 2, 3, 7
LSU – 6, 2, 5
Florida State – 10, 4, 3
*****************************
TIER TWO: top 10 recruiter 2 out of the last 3 years

Texas A&M – 9, 5, 11
Georgia – 11, 8, 6
USC – 12, 10, 2
Auburn – 13, 6, 9
Florida – 3, 9, 21
Tennessee – 24, 7, 4
******************************
TIER THREE: top 10 recruiter 1 out of the last 3 years

Notre Dame – 5, 11, 13
UCLA – 7, 19, 12
Ole Miss – 8, 15, 17
Clemson – 15, 18, 8
Texas – 17, 17, 10
******************************

every team on this list other than Florida, Texas, and Michigan are in the top 25 polls. and Florida/Michigan just had recent coaching changes.

so its not media or coach bias toward the SEC, its bias toward RECRUITING. which is usually the best indicator of success. the SEC schools just happen to dominate recruiting. which is why they get the respect during the pre-season. the same respect afforded to Florida State, USC, and Ohio State.

Why is Auburn ahead of UCLA?

better recruiting the last 3 years (Auburn's last 3 classes ranked 13, 6, 9 vs. UCLA's 7, 19, 12 per 247's composite rankings). plus Jeremy Johnson is seen as a more viable QB than whoever UCLA goes with.

look there isn't some vast conspiracy to pump up Auburn or every other SEC school. folks just really like Jeremy Johnson at QB. and being as good at recruiting as Auburn has been the last 3 years, people are giving them the benefit of the doubt.

:stopitslime: SHUT.

:comeon: THE.

:scust: FUKK.

:martin: UP.

:dahell: ALREADY.

youre so damn desparate to celebrate championships before your team has come close to sniffing any. FOH with statisical correlations, talking about how recruiting classes guarantee rings. Brady Hoke and Charlie Weis were 2 of CFB's best recruiters in the past 15 years. Aint done sh*t.

There is a bias, but it comes from winning 7 titles in a row, the SEC will get the benefit of the doubt because of that. Why does that influence the voter? :yeshrug:
