Right now michigan needs to overhaul its offensive staff and just ride it out after that. Hoke can stay. Mattison should def stay. I don't want to hit the reset button yet again. Hoke needs to completely be hands off the offense. Hire some NFL position coach or proven college coordinator and give em full control.

It's not worth it to hire yet another head coach and risk people leaving. risk developing new high school recruiting connections. risk this, risk that.
What exactly does Hoke even do? The guy doesn't even wear a fukking headset.

If they bring in a real coach, the recruits will stay and they will be in a better position for the future. You sound like you want Hoke to stay coach just to be a figurehead. :camby:

That's the point these kids want to play for Hoke :mindblown: Fire Hoke and most of the kids are gone. Peppers wants to play for him and Mattison. Al Borges is the main problem with this team right now. We would be 10-1 right now if Borges coaches good this season.

But Hoke isn't a good coach! This team has gotten worse every year under him. Why does anyone want him back? Michigan has had "great" recruiting classes under Hoke yet the team is lousy. What difference does it make who comes when he can't do anything with them? :mindblown:

Exactly. Hoke has never even won a conference championship at any of his previous head coaching stops. I believe he had a losing career record when Michigan hired him.

Relationships. I guess they feel comfortable with the staff. They won't have time to get to know the new staff.

right now hoke is charlie weis, good at recruiting, fat and jolly, and lil else. But he has done a few good things for this team.

Lets be real. Texas, Nebraska, USC, and idk who else are gonna be fighting over anyone and everyone to come to their school. Who, exactly, is about to pop off and yell "I'll rescue MIchigan"? Someone from the league?

Let Hoke finish restocking the team with skilled kids and then in 2014...see wassup. This wasn't gonna be a 3 year rebuilding job anyway. This program needed to completely hit the reset button after Carr

Kids wanna go where they wanna go... this cat is a different breed

Let him be available.

Michigan's new OC shouldn't be associated with "failure", "firings" or "ball control offense" in anyway. I want a screaming, red faced alpha dog ass nikka like Meyer forces his assistants to be. The kind of dude who does more with less and is waiting for his shot at the big time. None of this "i had a good feeling about him, he's great with kids " bullshyt.

For the record there's a decent change borges is gone after the bowl game.

Borges said in todays press conference (when asked if we can win the game on saturday) "sure, if the players show up" ..

:stopitslime:

Motherfukker done lost his mind.

And I'm all for giving Hoke another year, but only if we rid ourselves of Borges and bring in a damn good OC, and also part ways with Coach Funk, cause this Oline is just ..

Even if it means risk losing a few recruits,it's worth it in the long haul:heh: What good is landing great players if you're not going to coach them up:ld:.Might as well take that potential hit now and get the right guy in there:manny:

His papers about to be served after the bowl game. Every booster is in the AD's ear complaining, and if there's one thing that that man understands, its money

I got a crazy feeling that Brady's gonna ride or die with the fat fukk.

And if that's the case, then keep Brady for one more year. Get Peppers aboard, and can his fat ass next year. :shaq:

Throw an obscene amount of $$ at whatever Harbaugh wants in on this disaster, (More than likely John) and roll with it.

Hoke isn't Meyer. He's more hands off. Meyer had so much trouble giving his assistants the free reign to coach he had a heart attack from the stress of taking everything on.

Now he's at OSU and doin fine.

Hoke can just stick to giving motivating speeches in the locker room, recruiting his ass off, and continuing to be a politician like mack brown. If he can keep his ego out of the way and let the OC and DC run shyt, we'll be aight.

What coach is going to walk away from the league to go back to college? It's like a college coach suddenly deciding HS is "where his heart is". its not realistic

LSU OC Cam Cameron and UM DC Greg Mattison came back to college because they loved Les Miles and Brady Hoke so much. that's the rare exception. everyone else comes back to college because they washed out of the NFL.

Get some pro-style NFL position coach cat who's ready to spend 4-5 years at michigan proving how badly he wants to be an OC in the NFL. Someone who's goal is specifically getting to the league, and hungry to prove himself.

This program needs new blood. Someone with a bright future. Michigan has turned into a country club ass program where old men go to retire.

The offense is about as stacked as a new guy can hope for, I pray to god they hire the right person.

Oh I hear you, but word on John Harbaugh is the team he's coaching in Baltimore right now is nothing like the teams that he's made those runs with. All of his heart and soul players (Ray, Bart, Ed Reed, Anquan and a cpl others) are gone and he's (supposedly) not feeling it anymore. Remember, Harbaugh took over Baltimore in 08 (i think it was 08) and that puts him at 5-6 years in. The life expectancy of a head coach these days is never set in stone.

Plus, I can guarantee that Harbaugh would love nothing more than to come back to Ann Arbor and become the hero. One wrench in this all tho .. he just signed a contract extension 3 months ago, paying him 4 mil per. :patrice:

I know I'm dreaming mufukkaz .. let me be.

John isn't a UM man but his brother probably would be down for it to kind of throw us a bone and then you already have Mattison here.
