It costs the raiders 7.5 Mil to cut him and 6 Mil to keep him. Might as well just cut our losses though, Ro' is a bum. This is purely speculation but there is a lot of talks about Gruden coming back now, on Pro Football Weekly they said Gruden is lined up for a prominent role. Greg Papa confirmed Gruden called Al in 2009 about returning and Mark Davis met with him earlier this year for 2 hours.
