Just Win Baby
Even through the mid 2000's I was never disgusted with a team as much as this one. From the coaches to the players. :pacspit: at McKenzie too. We have been competitive the past few years now this? This is what happens when you sign guys from the Packers practice squad.

The Oakland Raiders have watched their Bay Area neighbors, the San Francisco 49ers, turn Colin Kaepernick loose to rave reviews.

Breer: A position of strength
Colin Kaepernick is the latest to benefit from 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's knack for nurturing QBs, Albert Breer says. More ...
There are least "discussions" about doing the same in Oakland with another second-year quarterback, Terrelle Pryor, according to coach Dennis Allen.

Steve Corkran of ContraCostaTimes.com reported Allen was vague Monday in describing what that might mean -- either under center or in a subpackage -- but the 3-8 Raiders are exploring their options.

"He's working to get better and he's working to improve," Allen said of Pryor. "I've seen improvement in Terrelle. He's gotten better as a quarterback. He's continued to work. I don't think any of us feel like he's the finished product, including himself, but he has worked to improve."

Pryor hasn't played in a game this season, or completed a regular-season pass in his NFL career, but he showed some promise in the preseason. Not enough, of course, to upstage Matt Leinart as Carson Palmer's backup.

Allen, who inherited Pryor and Palmer, would like to see what the younger of the two passers can bring to the table. The days of the long-term project quarterback are gone. Kaepernick and a fleet of rookies have proven that, and it's time for Pryor to make a case for himself, if the Raiders will let him.

Terrelle Pryor use discussed by Oakland Raiders - NFL.com

:krs::hula:

There's really no reason for Allen not to use him cause the season is fukked anyway might as well just let Pryor run around & if he sucks it'll only increase our chances of getting a high draft pick:manny:

I don't get all the Dennis Allen hate and the chants of bringing back Chucky. There's a REASON Chucky can't get gig and been stuck in the studio for 3+ years.

From what I see out there, the raiders are still playing hard. Coach Allen can't help it if they can't tackle or miss assignments. I find it comical that cats biggest complaint about Dennis Allen is that of his demeanor on the sidelines. LOL @ expecting him to be Hue Jackson and out there cursing out his players and bashing them through the Media... how did that end up for him? Hue will never sniff a head coaching job in the NFL ever again (bold prediction but who gives a fukk about Hue right or wrong)

And let's not try and put all the blame on Greg Knapp... he also inherited a sh.t roster. I look at what the Texans have and cant help but get excited for the future. They didn't make that team overnight, it took several drafts and different free agents.

Worst case is at least Oakland is an essential lock to lose in sports betting. I'm going to win my season ticket money back!

Norfeast groovin…
I mean, the season has been frustrating but this is the first time it's people other than Al calling the shots. The son wants to leave his mark no pun, if this team is still garbage after 3-4 years then it's a big problem. The frustrating thing is that there was really no need to change the offense that drastically, especially the run blocking. But fukk it, the roster has needed an overhaul for a long time anyway. :yeshrug:

If Mark Davis fires Dennis Allen and/or McKenzie after 1 season, I'm done. No more season tickets, no more watching games on TV... D-O-N-E until ownership changes. Because if he kneejerks like some of the Nation is asking for, he's no different than his dad. And I'm not okay with that.

Who cares about last year's record... just like the Dolphins did in their 1st season with Sparano with surprising teams with a solid record... the dolphins gimmick got figured out quick and that team went back to what we thought they were.

Last year's team was fool's gold, aint gonna win with last year's talent, power blocking, zone blocking or no blocking. If anything, what last year did was pull the wool over people's eyes leading many fans to believe the trade for Carson was the right one.. What did the Nation expect to win with Routt, Giordano out there? Miami game anyone? Calvin Johnson anyone?

We had no 1st and 2nd round picks in one of the deepest drafts in recent memory. We have cap killers (Seymour, Kelly, DHB) who dont produce anywhere near what their salaries suggest.

It's not Dennis Allen's fault the roster looks the way it does.

I think the biggest complaint people have with Knapp is that he changed up the blocking scheme for no reason.
