regarding the bolded:. ironically, those women who are thirsty to go interracial can attribute their lack of success the white men they desire demeaning the features of black women. dominant culture has molded perceptions of both black men and women. it's arguable black men may appear to have more options because of this (in conjunction with male privilege), but a student of history would place this into the greater scope of white supremacy.
example: you think black men are running to IR? every asian male i've known in college has fantasized over white women over their own.
who's to say black women wouldn't date out more if they weren't "at the bottom of the totem pole", though, as issa rae stated? that's another discussion

And while BM are wading through their molded perceptions there are bw women who want to get married/have relationships. BM know what the deal is with this society just as much as BW do; the reality some care, others do not and some call it preference. I say BW give their attentions to those who are showing them interest and in doing so including men of other races in that pool will not hurt them. Nobody is talking about chasing white men!
...No you just go into the relationship as you should've gone into the relations with your own folk...with a clear and positive mind frame for yourself and towards your same race partner.....
