No, no, no...that's wrong. Now first off, Shuri is getting the big push as the ultra genius even though T'Challa has always had answers, cover ups, contingency plans all on his own independent of his country and resources. Doom doesnt threaten that reality because they can go tete for tete and play the chess game...Doom is the kind of genius that pushes a T'Challa to the limit.

I don't know how I feel about this one. It's obviously great for BP2, assuming Doom is casted and written right, but how does this effect us getting his origin and interaction with the F4 if he's seemingly already established? I guess they could show his origins in a F4 movie afterwards

A quick fanboy bit of script writing:
The FF took their rocket ride and got their powers around the time of the Hulk and Iron Man movies; they kept a low profile once back on Earth wanting to be "science explorers" and not superheroes.
Reed discovers the existence of The Negative Zone and takes the FF to investigate but quickly comes into conflict with his old college classmate and scientific rival, Victor Von Doom (who also discovered the Negative Zone at around the same time) and in their battle Doom was able to get the upper hand and exile the FF to The Negative Zone where they have been stuck through the entirety of the MCU's existence.
So while The FF are trapped in The Negative Zone, Doom has become ruler of Latveria (and in the 5 year absence after The Snap) has become basically a souped version of Vladimir Putin; spreading his influence across the globe.
Which brings us to him taking over African countries and coming into conflict with Black Panther.
