THIS CORNY nikka RIGHT HERE, TRYING TO VALIDATE THAT WHITE LAME MFER SAYING HE''S VOICING HIS OPINION BUT IF ANOTHER nikka FEELS THE ALBUM SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH A nikka, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, IT'S COO STICK TO YA AESOP RAP AN BACKPACKIN shyt, YA nikkaS SOUND BITTER FA REAL:ahh:

Shut yo old ass up, nikka claiming KRS dropped a classic:laugh:BUT shytTING ON NAS.... nikka HAS DROPPED 18 ALBUMS WTF IS HE TALKIN ABOUT THESE DAYS  YOUR A LAME nikka FO REAL.:deadhorse:

MAD NAS IS STILL RELEVANT WHILE YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER IS SELLING 50 COPIES TO OLD nikkaS LIKE YOU:laugh:

the fact remains,...

ra and krs are still more skilled and better at emcee'n and evolving over advanced sonic gen sonic landscapes than nas.

krs has made a better emcee contribution skillwise in a recent duet album than nas.

to fully solidify why he will never be unseated as the goat.

before nas made distant relatives,..

of which survival skills featured that year's best holy shyt feature moments.

plus dropped better higher quality lp's.
two of which are classics with marley marl and adventures in emcee'n.

survival skills > distant relatives

marley marl & aie > hhid, untitled & lig

seventh seal > lig hhid & lig

so if you want to make a nas versus krs thread.

be my guest,..so i can conchairto your burned char broil carcass.

after the flaming thumbtacks tabled finish match.

you will be booked in if you do so.

Mafioso is my favorite genre of Rap music, what's your point?

And I take back Swizz, I don't give him that either cuz him and Nas been fukkin' with each other for years NH

in that juliano,..

nas made one of the best all time greatest change of sonic direction records.

that elevated swizz's and nas mythos, on the general.

it is 2012,..why am i getting garbage swizz duets.

that are trivial rehashes of swizz's recent commercial template hook trash record.

plus, not a record that outdoes the general.

do you see what people mean now,... i explained and put the comparison in print for you.

do i have to ric flair eyepoke of doom!

then pai mei snatch out your eyeball and skullfukk you some more, my dude.

hopefully you see what people mean.

when they say how routine and going through the motions this nas album is.

plus how it doesn't do anything other than attempt to revenue grab and fail at.

which is not the type of artist nas is.

nas should be making roots style rap high quality memorable rap records.

not shaggy, a-typical cliche routine commercial rehash dancehall style records.

i don't think you fully get.

why i speak on nas and all the continued backlash nas makes for himself.

culturally nas is a scourge,..of the hghest esteem.

that you dudes give numerous passes for.

as you do that,..you strip away the pillars of emcee'n.

which transversely effect why rap and the number of new skilled emcees is so low.

till you get that,..i dunno what to tell you.

i am a bboy. i am a protector at the gate of my culture.

if my gate is attacked i will defend.

it is as simple as that,..

nas consistently and continually assaults, batters and attacks the senses and sensibility of the culture of hiphop.

so the realm will be defended,...at all cost.

Nas made 2 albums in a row filled with nothing but black empowerment and positive messages mixed with reflection...and u still shytted on em...its starting to seem like u just don't want Nas to make music anymore or somethin...real talk my g...I haven't seen u praise ONE Nas song not from his past...no matter the content..quality..message..etc...I understand u feel this way about him...u pointed out mistakes u feel he's made in the past..but what would u have him do...roll over and quit making music?..dude has been tryin to keep this hip hop shyt alive and give it diversity but u continuously give him slack for shyt he's done in the past...if u don't like his music that's cool..but all that other shyt is what it is my g...

And because you judge a persons opinion based on what they look like your opinion also holds no weight.

Your attitude is similar to white women who clutch at their handbags when they see a black male.

Now here you go, Ol WeAreTheWorldAzznikka....... :stopitslime:

You're cot damn right I judged him, not only judged him but convicted him based off of appearances COMPLETELY that his opinion on Life Is Good is meaningless.

Again I would just like to point, this is literally the only bad review the album has gotten from a relevant outlet (Pitchfork hasnt chimed in yet) and yet somehow its the most talked about.

Dude got a XXL in XXL and we not talking about that at length.

But yo, I got nothing against Fantano. I actually watching his reviews, even though I have caught myself respectfully disagreeing with him (his low ratings for WTT, Camp, Shoalin vs Wu-Tang). And he even said, he didnt review the deluxe version. So its not a big deal.

Nas can make an album executive produced by JESUS CHRIST himself and nikkas would say "this shyt ain't fukkin wit Illmatic"...Nas fell off...smh..I don't even care no more..lol

:stopitslime: You're acting like this doesn't cut both ways. Dude can put out a record full of recording of him taking a shyt and people will be arguing about how it's a classic.

As soon as I saw this review, I knew this would happen. A white dude from Connecticut reviewing Hip-Hop? Blasphemy on this board.

Usually I can understand where Fantano comes from when he dislikes Hip-Hop albums (even Cancer 4 Cure, which I loved), and I can see all of the elements in the album that he dislikes, but I feel that he misses the point of why they're in the album by refusing to consider the context that it was created in. I mean, he gives it lip service, but he basically dismisses it as irrelevant in the next breath.

Basically, he exposed two of his worst biases as a reviewer without really stating them:

1). He doesn't like reading/listening to albums with consideration of the context that it was created in (which he at least stated that he didn't care for when he reviewed My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy).

2). Let me quote something I wrote earlier this week:

Oh, and if Life Is Good keeps its quality through my listens of it, then whoever gives it less than an 8 just hates the concept of post-Illmatic Nas, nothing more.

Now, I don't exactly agree with all of this statement now (I wouldn't be as dogmatic about it, as I can easily see how this could honestly get less than an 8-equivalent from reviewers), but this review is Exhibit A of rating the concept of post-Illmatic Nas moreso than the actual music and concept of the album in question.

I don't want to write too much about it, since I want to discuss it a bit when I do my next album reviews.

Okay. You're jut gonna deflect I see. You say it's not jeep music even though I was there while it played from jeeps. You conveniently dropped the whole "first two Tribe albums" angle when I reminded you of the title Low End Theory. You then try and age me while claiming you nap to these classic albums you pretend to have played hundreds of times (yeah right) all while crowbarring Nas' widely ridiculed spotty discography into the number one slot.

For shame young man. For shame.

Dude shut up. I don't lie and desperately try to validate my "true hip-hoppa" credentials on the internet like you. Peoples Instinctive is one of my favorite albums of all time and I used to have the whole album memorized. Low End Theory too and Midnight Marauders and 3 Feet High And Rising and De La Soul Is Dead. Those albums got heavy rotation in my household.

I poked fun at your age because of your pathetic holier-than-thou "da 5 boroughs was bumping it in family whip!" posturing, sycophantically deifying a time period of rap so emotionally that you take an honest observation about albums that someone described as classics as a slight. It's the sort of prickly disposition you usually see from grumpy 40 year olds. If you really are my age that's even more pathetic. Lol@you talking about what was bumping in whips when you were riding a Huffy.
