You're showing how green you are. Especially trying to cherry pick a steely Dan lifted groove to slander a group you claim to like.

Go play plug tunin. Say no go. This is a recording for living in a full time era.

You goddamn right those knock.

As for Tribe, they have the craziest drum work maybe ever. Luck of lucien was THE CUT IN THE WHIP! Are you stupid? And Again, low end theory was named for a reason.

Those songs sound "tougher" even being over 20 years old aesthetically even with native tongue, Afro centric, eclectic driven content than the new Nas songs I've singled out.
:snooze: Pointing out that De La and ATCQ's first two albums are not jeep bangers is not slander, because one it's a statement of fact, and two there's nothing wrong with music that doesn't bang in the whip. You must be trolling right now. Tribes' first album has always been zone-out relaxation music, not shyt you pull up to the club bumping.

And why do you still care about something "knocking in the whip" so much anyway? Aren't you like 50? Who are you, Masta Ace? That's a pretty shallow aspect to place such utmost importance on.

You're hellbent on this knocking in the whip angle you've drummed up from me simply observing that there's no boom to Queens Story..while in the whip. Cut that out.

Now onto your attempt to age me....I'm younger than Kanye West. And trust, I'm an absolute physical specimen that most 20 something's could only ever dream of being.

But let's circle back to you and your degradation of true classic albums from an era your previous attempt at an age joke likely excludes you from. Cut that out too.

Nas has the best solo discog ever now. Like...get real.

It's called opinion...and not a fringe one by any means. Someone who is universally considered one of the greatest rappers of all time and has a career spanning two decades has the best rap discography ever. Gee what an outlandish statement! You still haven't even said whose is better beside Ghosts despite being asked twice for this supposedly lengthy list of rappers with better discographies.

What is your point of all of this and the source of your obvious animus? You've posted 48 times in this thread talking about how wack and overrated Nas is. I don't get it. If I don't like someone's music and I think they're overrated, I'll either keep it to myself or just be like " So-and-so sucks and they're overrated" and leave it at that. You sounding like Cormega in the summer of 2001

Uh, you're the one who brought it up. Your initial comment to me regarding LIG was its lack of boom. I was just addressing your assertion.

Now onto your attempt to age me....I'm younger than Kanye West. And trust, I'm an absolute physical specimen that most 20 something's could only ever dream of being.

:what: The fukk would I care about that for?

At some point you're going to have comprehend and understand that saying that De La and Tribe's first albums are not jeep-knocking material is not degradation or any form of slight whatsoever. I called both of them classics, which they are in my opinion and unlike most of the coli I don't use that word lightly, and you're telling me I'm slandering and degrading them because I'm simply pointing out the obvious truth that their strength is not "knockin in da whip."

Actually I would put Cube and Kanye in a best discography debate over some of the dudes you named. Possibly over Eminem, OC, Busta (although I think the discography of his is slightly underrated) . AZ's dope but he started making the same LP over and over, so I dont know about putting him there.
With GZA..that's a tough one, probably say Ghost has the most solid solo discography put of all the Wu members now. Early KRS goes into there too, but I think his later stuff kinda got forgotten, so if we are going to restrict people despite making countless LP's, he may may not be listed.

I agree with Common, Redman, G Rap, Face, Hov.

Yeah I think Nas could fit easily into that list with his selection

Those albums both knocked in whips heavily, everywhere in New York City. So please, stop trying to paint actual jeep proven, golden age hip hop that rang out at radio, cash registers, clubs and critically And has endured the test of time as some fukking background nap time music.

My entire post was facetious. Half those guys have terribly spotty catalogs....just like Nas.

I'm asking why thy aren't considered given that.

They are though :merchant:

All kidding aside, I hear those names pop up a lot in a best discography conversation a lot.

Yeah gosh, I better not do that. We all know the litmus test for critically assessing any album is the sum total of how many times it got played in used Acuras all over the tri-state region during the George Bush Sr. presidency! :mjpls:

Okay. You're jut gonna deflect I see. You say it's not jeep music even though I was there while it played from jeeps. You conveniently dropped the whole "first two Tribe albums" angle when I reminded you of the title Low End Theory. You then try and age me while claiming you nap to these classic albums you pretend to have played hundreds of times (yeah right) all while crowbarring Nas' widely ridiculed spotty discography into the number one slot.

For shame young man. For shame.

I got no problem putting KRS in there, but if you're saying artists should be penalized for later duds, then I figured KRS would be one of those guys.

Personally I would put KRS in a list, even if some say the 80s stuff hasnt aged well.

The people who say that are young kids who weren't there.

His later duds happened after his initial rise of excellence. Nas' duds occurred in his prime.

And Krs has quietly put out 5 strong albums the last 6 years. Like, legit dope albums.

Eh, I dont know if he squandered his prime as much as people perception changed over time.

It was Written, God Son and Stillmatic came out during popular Nas years and are still fondly remembered.

I dont know about KRS' last few years, but then again its not like people are giving him a chance and letting themselves hear the recent stuff he's done.
