I just don't really understand what they have to gain by shytting on Nas. Would him getting a 6.8 be considered them shytting on him?

6.8...it just sounds funny saying that, but I agree, thats not a bad score

But giving albums 0.0 and posting pictures of monkeys masturbating in the review? Kinda makes you lose credibility

I guess we shall see how much Illmatic is mentioned in their LIG review, and how much of the actual album is discussed

rakim just dropped a 4.5 album with only two questionable records and way doper than this nas album.

I've bumped Stay but I like the music classic shyt right there (the piano at the beginning was unnecessary though imo), don't care for Roses.

They were part of the track No I.D. sampled from (L.A. Carnival - Seven Steps To Nowhere), they're not cheesy at all in this case but yeah I agree that Sax' can fukk shyt up if not used right.

But come on he's responsible for one of the legit:

In the history of music period I know people will have their own opinion on that and I don't mean to oversell it, but it's to be expected, that's what happens when you raise the bar and hit people with it straight out the gate.

But a lot of Nas fans seem slightly embarrassed by the fact that people seem to mention that.

And I bet they compare all his subsequent releases to Illmatic on the low.
