This whole scene feels like how you perceive reality if you haven't slept in a few days, especially the part with the pimps.
I'm old enough to remember when the NY Post used to have ads for XXX movies in the movies section, like it was a "normal" thing to do.
at the fact that they alternated ads for hard core XXX porn and mainstream blockbusters.
Plus, the "Classified" section of EVERY tabloid paper (NY Post, Daily News, Newsday) used to have an "escorts" section. I'm sure they want us all to forget about that now.

90s
Goodfellas

00’s
Departed
10’s
Wolf of Wall Street
Killers of the Flower Moon with DeNiro and Leo in the 20’s coming up

Shrader said it wasn't really supposed to amount to any long lasting happiness on his part...on fact he said on a Reddit ama that in all likelihood he only lasted another 6 months after the ending.
the new Joker movie appears to take some inspiration from it.
The village voice until like 5 years ago basically lived off of escort adds in the back until Craigslist/ backpages killed them. The whole newspaper went out to print and it was on the low a great alt newspaper.
Brie larson looks exactly like her in the faceWatching some of it again..Cybill Shepard had a nice ass for that era. Looked good in those outfits.

This movie represents the nature of the world we live inYou know why you don't see the anti-Scorsese commission posting in this thread? Because they've never seen a classic like this
I don't think their fragile minds could handle it anyway
