Exactly bruh, institutions such as UCLA have the resources to do targeting recruiting and address the racists environment that is not conducive academically and socially for blacks... but no fukks are given because of the perception that they are progressive smh

People are just in denial. They make the admissions process subjective and not Objective on purpose.

They use their cac minds to determine who will succeed. They based things on factors that can unfairly target certain demographic groups.... so the 48 that slip through the cracks simply meet those superficial standards - Not that they have scores and gpas that are > other black students.

I used to be a recruiter with the military.... during the times we were over manned to doing good... we would do selective recruiting. Of course just like UCLA we were government funded so you can say I'm looking for white from suburbs, or black urban, or asian......... BUT you always know what ur doing. For some special forces careers (were u needed to be able to run long distances, swim, and score high on mental test and stress and be patriotic) - We would target people with 4.0's 90+ on asvab, plus ran cross country and played hockey n shyt like that... LOL it's fake to pretend that we didn't know what we were looking for.

We "knew" were to find those CAC, and it def wasn't poor whites or blacks. We know that you can get the people for the BS career fields from the prision set up High schools. You know you can get a asian dude whos fam just got their citizenship to work on a satellite... you need someone who isn't gonna be out partying drinking and trying to get p*ssy when they first get to their base--- It's racist as fukk, but it is what it is.

UCLA is subjective for a reason -- to keep their images and goals up.

This type of mentality is where black people go wrong, if black people are waiting for UCLA to do something about it then black people will continue to lose

And this mentality is an example of how liberalism causes the mental pussification of black people, instead of talking about what we are going to do and doing it, we are begging other people to do something, like pussies

At the end of the day black people need to address the poor performance of black students, why do we need UCLA to do something we can do ourselves?

Some of them are racist...... but if you go to a top school a large % of brown hispanics and asian don't even come from america or are few generations removed.... You don't think they are just separatist and simply stick to their own - as opposed to out right racist??

I know that at my school my black friends seriously would not even speak or eat at the same time with white people. They weren't racist.. they just were from HS's in Detroit that contained maybe 1 or 2 whites and weren't used cac.

White people are a minority in the uc system, at UCLA the majority of students are Asian and Latino, UCLA is very diverse and multicultural, when black students say they don't feel welcome and isolated at UCLA, take a wild guess why, simple math will tell you which groups are causing black students to feel isolated

the subjectivity comes from from choosing between high scoring students, in other words you have to have very high scores to be given any real consideration, but the process of getting into the group being considered is objective

And that being said, there is no evidence of black students being discriminated against in the admissions process, trying to run up that alley is a dead end, if there was evidence of that they would have gotten sued already, when you look at the data it's obvious that the real problem is that there are very few black students performing at that level

Blacks are the 4th largest group in Cali now, so now you are rendered useless. People want to make case for all these other factors and ignore the race issue. Havard and Yale accept 60% from the top 10% social-economic students. If 98% of those are white then 98% get those connections and get that prestige.... same thing with these well known liberal universities.
Look at the University of Alabama........... THE ONLY difference between them and UCLA is that Alabama hates nigggas and doesn't front about it ----- MEANWhile UCLA joins colleges in the Northeast and midwest that have to pretend to not look at race because they are filled with the WHITE Liberals that Malcolm X pre-warned us about.

Those types of CAC are worse than the U of Alabama type of CAC that simply str8 up tell you "No you're black you can't get into the University icebreaker pool party"

I got into a couple good schools.... and I'm not fooled.. I have a cac sounding name n transcripts and high school and type of high school scream CAC.

thread reminds me of why I chose to go to GA Tech over UGA after Morehouse. its crazy but for a state institution GT graduates the 2nd largest amount of black engineers in the country and has a decent minority population and feel on campus. meanwhile at University of Georgia it was like UCLA... all the black dudes were athletes.

My cousin went to GA Tech and got her Doctorate in Engineering...damn good school, very underrated. Campus composition is very important to a healthy experience for black students IMO. 18-23 is a very defining stage for the rest of your life. We should just like Asians, identify PWIs that provide healthy environments for blacks students in addition to HBCUs. I think that is what is happening. Blacks heard through the grapvine that UCLA is not the business for black folk. That is how it was for Texas A&M, and lesser extent Texas. A lot of top black students, including my own siblings preferred to go out of state because of perceived and actual racism at both schools. My cousin was going to Texas with me, so it made it easier to handle the things we did and might go through initially while adjusting to a super white and Asian environment.

Asians are not necessarily as openly racists as white folk, but they do talk down on black folks in private and in forum settings when things like campus diversity are brought up and blacks are always the default scapegoat even though we had a small population.They also may not study with you because you are black which I experienced. It was easier to find white people to study with than it was Asians to be honest.
