The lack of relevance of this post to this threadIf you want to call it a niche sport, fine. However, although Soccer is the number sport in the world, it hasn't a league on the face of this earth that generates more revenue than the National Football League. Soccer is a niche sport here in America.
Let's not act like the USA is the Dominican Republic. We talking about the NFL being the number 1 sport in the third largest country on earth, with 313.9 million people...many of whom live better than the rest of the world's population. Only China and India are bigger than the US and they aren't producing any soccer stars. So if you exclude those two countries for all intents and purposes, the the major sport in one of the world's largest countries is American Football. The early growth of modern soccer began in the 1300's, so it has a lot of years on American Football, which is relatively young. Also, soccer is more readily accessible in many areas of the world, not expensive and you don't need major equipment to play it.
Finally, no other sports league outside the U.S. - Soccer included (as I stated) - generates more money than the NFL, not even close, and money makes the world go around. So if you want to call it a niche sport, like it's phukin Lacrosse, despite the fact that it's loved in a country with a population of 300 million....so be it.
It's like arguing basketball with a kobe Stan. Instead of bringing logic and reasoning to the argument, they just get emotional and dismissive. I'd say it's not a jet fan thing, but my dad sometimes does that, as do my brother, and our friend warren, and John, and redneck joe. If you've ever been to a jet game, lots of them act like that.Trip is an idiot.
Lmao. This is the problem with American politics.
You have knowledgeable posters, reporting facts, data, making salient points. Constructing reasonable, intellectual arguments.
You have Trip and his merry band of idiots, getting emotional, rejecting all data and facts. These folks aren't reading the links or articles.
Their whole response has been, I love football, I'm gonna enjoy football till I die, I thought I had an opinion, you all are hating on football, etc.
They sound like your average voter. No wonder why this super power of a country gets away with treating their people like serfs, these nikkas refuse to think and critically challenge themselves.
Yall keep saying this, but it's illogical. Just because it's still profitable right now doesn't mean it's outlook for the future is staying the same. Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers had numbers too before they crashed.yet the sports keeps growing

It's an assessment of its market value in the future based on demographic and cultural trends. Nobody who understands business at all just sits there and says we're profitable with what we sell and nothing will ever change in future.
Never mind.Partcipation hasnt declined enough for this to be an issue yet though. High Schools havent had issues fielding teams in areas that have always fed Universities the best talent. The North East and the Pacific Northwest are pretty irrelevant when it comes to football and always has been.

Another thing to consider is white people will be reduced to about half the population 25 years from now.

There's going to be a lot more Hispanic people and lot more Asians. Black people will stay about the same.
We all know white people watch the most football and spend the most money on it.
Did you even read my post? The whole point is you can make a trends analysis of the future of a product long before it loses profitability. People literally do this for a living.where is the data that suggest the sport isn't growing or will stop. y'all sound just as dumb as marc cuban
