North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They have more than doubled their output but there is a fear they might be taking their foot off the gas and becoming lazy. What?! :mindblown:

Civil War wouldn’t have happened if WB didn’t announce BvS and the DCEU. Competition kept #marvelset sharp.

there is no competition right now. The crushed the DCEU, bought their rights back from Fox and have partnered with Sony.

So either Feige will keep pushing go for kills shots, or get stale.

How long has the competition been dead?

I don't believe Superman was A-list before Christopher Reeve. at all.

list the a-list projects he was in prior to then.
or are you saying selling some comics made him a-list? because he wasn't even the top seller in the 60's. if that is the case, we can literally measure by comicbook sales who all is a-list or not and put an end to this debate.

So we're comparing the fate of the MCU, based on a movie that was 20 in the making, and that they're starting over again with that build up. I'm keeping it a buck. Iron Man 2 & 3, Captain America: TFA, Thor 1 and 2, Age of Ultron, weren't the greatest movies. They didn't hit for me like that. This doom and gloom narrative has been a thing with the MCU for a while now.

This. Def feels like this narrative is just based off if you’ve only been watching since Age of Ultron and are riding that Infinity Saga high, which was 20 years of set up and just completed, not forgetting the 3 + solo and avengers films that develop those characters.

Kinda funny how now Doc strange had hype during IW but now he’s meh:russ:

The Doc Strange 2, Marvels, Thor , and Ant Man sequels are already insanely huge compared to earlier phase stuff and will likely lay the groundwork for MCU going forward.

stfu lame

people in here really acting like everybody was cosplaying as superman back in the 50's and 60's. His was known mostly just to comicbook fans nerd.
Look I'm not here to argue with you but everyone in here telling you you're wrong. You just swung and missed on this one that's all. No need to neg me (I must've really struck a nerve). If you don't know the cultural importance that Supes represents to this country and pretty much the world as the first superhero then that's on you. Supes is the list as far as popularity. He was the first. You're trying to hold today's norms (cosplay in the 50s or 60s :mjlol: when he had a whole TV show from 1952-1958) as a way to belittle his popularity. His legacy has been cemented before you or your parents were born. If you don't realize that then I don't know what else to tell you. Enjoy your day.

everyone:mjlol:

two people plus you equals everyone now.

This is the point i'm making. You comicbook nerds think because something sold 600 million copies (over the course of 60 years) that makes it a-list and comparing to shyt that sells a billion in a week.
like i said stfu. i wasn't even talking to you, and you came in late just to dikk ride. thats why i negged.

House of M is wanted by fans..so is Avengers vs X men...Galactic can be a big deal if they want him to be. Dr. Doom of course is another level...they can go wild with Dr Doom in all truth..there is so much to do with him..can even get Kang involved.

to the bolded, I clearly said i agreed with that point.

My point however, is everything else you are saying i disagree with.

I don't believe Superman was A-list before Christopher Reeve. at all.

Wonderwoman and Batman possibly you could make that argument for but thats only because of Adam West and Lynda Carter. and even then i'd say more B list.
Captain Marvel (Shazam) outsold Superman significantly until Fawcett comics folded, and dc buried the character for decades because of it.

Superman WAS a big deal complete with TV shows and radio shows, but he had peers for sure.
