If one is aiming for bankruptcy or putting out a product free of charge, major corporations would possibly consult you for your advice. Unfortunately, when companies and entrepreneurs go into business and sell a product, they tend to go into business with the intention to make money and maximize profits. Without fail bro, that means appealing to the market.

And if I was Bioware I would say fukk the dedicated fanbase and make what I want to make. They made the game it sold well enough, I don't see where the DLC wouldn't have sold well. Also you keep harping on the story being bad, I thought the story was great. That goes back to what I just said in the first sentence. fukk them fans and make what you want. But Bioware is damn p*ssy, they bailed on the project and now we probably won't have another ME for 4 years minimum. I I'm sure the dedicated fans will hate that game as well.

This is pretty much what we've all been saying. Even if you hated the ending of ME3, just about everyone ITT except old buddy prefer it as a game over Andromeda. That's not saying MEA was terrible to everyone, but it really wasn't on par with any of the OT games.


Ya mans in here for Andromeda like his job depends on it. Maybe he was part of the design team?


Andromeda and ME3 did have the best shooting mechanics, so folks that played soldier/infiltrator/vanguard/weapon sentinel-style PCs might have enjoyed them more than ME and ME2, from a gameplay perspective.

Bioware has not shown the ability to make a good game in recent years, let alone a great one, so I dunno why them tryna be "more creative" would be a good thing when their recent deviations from the "norm" have either been (MEA) to straight (Anthem), at best.


It's developers who fumbled less and still went under, so Bioware should try to cater to their fan base and not be outchea freestyling like they're on top right now, IMO.

Give the people what they want, or make more flops and go out of business. BW's choice.

- just saw the trailer
- hopefully they fired the writers in charge of me3 fiasco
- I understand the indoctrination theory that people had with the end of me3. Which i wouldnt have a problem with, if they executed it better. Instead all 3 endings were basically the same with different color schemes
- if they do bring shepherd back. They need to go back to the end of me3 and really flesh out what really happened at the end. And what impact the choices at the end of the game had to the universe.

That Reddit post is dumb as fukk because after 3 games shouldn't have to "bring back Shepard". He never should've went anywhere in the first place. shyt would be like side lining Mario or Master Chief three games into their respective series.

Not to mention they left Shepard with a cliff hanger in 3 so "they're bringing him back to pander to fans!" is as fukk. The alternative is he's buried alive and we never find out what happened to him.

As far as the thread, if they bring back Shep that would be a major step in the right direction. Because, as I said, they left him with a cliff hanger in 3. Nobody gives a fukk about side stories or new characters when they didn't even resolve the story of the fukking protagonist from the first three games.

The real issue with doing Non-Shepherd stories in Mass Effect, is pretty much they did too good of a job with that character and especially, his surrounding cast. Mass Effect in that sense should be thought of less as a video game series, and more like a prestige drama. You can expand and explore upon the core, but you wouldn't wake up one day and decide to do a new season of a great TV show with a whole new cast and setting.

This does NOT go for every game. But this goes for this one. The cast of ME is just too good to replace entirely. Up and down they're some of the best characters in a video game ever. Give us more, yes, but taking them all away just because makes no sense. Characters like Garrus and Liara are so deep, matter so much to the world, were portrayed and used so well, starting over with characters slightly different to fill a similar role? THAT is cheap.

This is something I don’t understand. How is it not better? The game plays better, looks better, has a better and more relevant story to the overall theme of the trilogy. I think people let nostalgia cloud their judgment.
