I’m still kinda confused as to what happened…

I’m looking at videos of the 4 different endings…the little AI boy gave me 2 choices…destroy or control the reapers…but technically speaking I didn’t see any choice paths…I do remember while speaking to me, I saw a memory/flashback of shep shooting a tube next to the crucible light…so I limped toward the tube and shot it up releasing an orange glow that engulfed everything…I see it on IGN listed as the “perfect ending” but I don’t see how he could’ve survived that

I don't fully remember all the endings but I'm pretty sure it's based on military strength and you have to
destroy the reapers for shepard to live

Thinking back, every time in the series you have a chance to kill synthetic life and you don't, you get punished for it :dead:

now I’m seeing there are 7 endings…I’m gonna have to analyze this shyt…I’m not sure what ending occurred since I never picked an actual choice…I just walked toward one of the tubes and started shooting…but I definitely had enough military strength…I was almost at 6000 points total

ok this site explains it the best…

Mass Effect 3 endings guide | GamesRadar+

according to the chart I had enough military power to save earth, ensure my squad survives and save myself…and since I walked to the right…that meant I chose to destroy the reapers…I didn’t realize that…if I’d walked to the left then that would’ve been control and walking toward the center would’ve been the weird choice where organics and synthetics coexist…so I guess shepard is alive but presumed dead based on my choice/how I played it…amazing game any damn way

A quick google search says you needed minimum 7800 TMS (!!!) :mjlol:

They must have upped it. I remember in the original you could boost it via MP.

If you don't see the 5-10 second mini cutscene of Shepard taking a breath, he's dead, I'm pretty sure.

ok that makes sense…I’m seeing that number on a couple sites as well…I guess the gameradar charts are off cuz idk how the hell shepard could’ve survived that blast that I saw him take in my ending

*edit*

oh wow and I didn’t realize choices from 1 and 2 have a long-lasting impact as they effect war assets obtained in 3…what a deep ass game :banderas:

If I had to guess that Tali debacle you had locked you from getting that part of the ending. The factions are a big part of TMS and you had 2 whole major factions not supporting you at the end.

I still don’t think I would’ve cleared 7000 even with quarian support

I can see why some folks might’ve been frustrated at the ending if they played each game as it released rather than all straight thru…games flowed well tho playing them in immediate succession imo

*edit*

being able to save the quarian fleet would’ve helped but I see that the decision that probably had the most impact goes back to the end of ME1 when I didn’t save the council…I see I would’ve had some powerful ship as an asset…that plus the quarian fleet might’ve put me at 7800…it would’ve helped if I didn’t lose wrex and thane as well…wow great game…these decisions really counted

Yeah that helped me because I didn't play ME3 at launch since I wasn't satisfied with my ME2 ending, I didn't get around to doing a perfect ending run. I played it much later after a replay of the series, and I had no problem with it.

In regards to TMS it's

That, and quick reddit search says that if you don't do all planet scanning/probing in ME3 and DLC across ME2 and 3 you leave about 2000 TMS on the board, and a lot of people apparently didn't bother doing that and paid for it. Perfect destroy is apparently a pretty tough ending to get in this version.

Finally got to the infamous suicide mission in me2... wasn't as bad as I thought only lost 2 people. Zaeed and Mordin..didn't care for either so I'm good with it

I did get the doctor lady and the ship crew killed tho cause I sent them back without an escort :snoop:

I destroyed the base too which I'm sure gonna have consequences

Mass effect was a series that was all about the journey and not the ending.
