Agreed.
Their plan with her seems to have just been "Girl Boss" pandering. It's unfortunate that when they finally get prominent women or minority characters they just drop the ball with real characterization. Same with Riri and She Hulk.

Spider-Man wouldn’t have worked, he’s too young and never been a leader for the team in comics, honestly T’challa would’ve been best to helm the next arc. The real problem was that the public was never gonna accept the B-listers getting the call up like in the comics.

Feige should’ve came up with a contingency for Stark & Cap to comeback or recasted them.
