It's not a dumb take. Civil War T'Challa exuded the regality comics fans always knew him for

Black Panther competently displays the hero's journey, but there's a confidence from T'Challa missing that Civil War featured prominently. Most of this is on Coogler because he spends significant parts of his movies giving subtle apologies for elements of blackness. This is present in nearly all of his written projects

Black Panther T'Challa doesn't have a scene as raw as this

A 10 second exchange that tells you everything you need to know about T'Challa and the nation he now leads. The theater erupted after that shyt

All of your points are true but it's funny that you use T'Challa almost killing Klaw as one when a significant piece of the plot hinges on the fact that T'Challa didn't kill Klaw.

ONE OF THE BIG DIFFERENCES
BETWEEN TCHALLA
IN CW VS BP...

COOGLER GAVE KILLMONGER
THE SAME FIRE AND RAGE TCHALLA
HAD IN CW SO HE BASICALLY
HAD TO MAKE TCHALLA THE OPPOSITE.

FOR AS GOOD OF A JOB AS THE RUSSOS DID
THEY STILL NEUTERED TCHALLA
AT THE END OF THE MOVIE
AND IT CARRIED OVER TO BP
AND BP 2 WITH SHURI.

Thing is though T'Challa very much had that fire when he met the ancestors again.

He was taking that shyt to them and Killmonger.

And also once Civil War makes T'Challa LOSE HIS FATHER and then at the end LOSE HIS FIRE as a grown man it changes everything. He gave the actually guy that killed his father. Where do you go from there?

One of the things Coogler said was that its a difference between someone losing their father as a grown man and one losing him as a child. So he wanted to make that point clear.

Russos robbed Klaue and Coogler of making that be the direct guy to kill his father.

Just saw the movie and it is a 4/10. This movie didn't feel like a Captain Marvel sequel. The movie felt like a Thor: ragnarok spinoff starring Captain Marvel and friends, absolutely ridiculous. :why: It is absolutely baffling to me why they would use thor ragnarok as a template for the Captain Marvel sequel. Thor and Captain Marvel doesn't feel anything alike when it comes to tone and humor. They even made Captain Marvel more bubbly and silly in this.

In the first Captain Marvel and in Endgame they establish Captain Marvel as being kind of a prick who think she is better, tougher, stronger and smarter than the other superheroes and she is also reluctant to be part of a team because she think they will slow her down or they will get in her way.You would think this would lead to a interesting sequel In the Marvels in which she has team up with two individuals that has completely different personality than hers(Kamala Khan is up upbeat, happy and optimistic and Monica is a team player). Nope. These nikkas completely revamped Captain Marvel character into a bubbly character. This killed any potential interesting conflict or dynamic that could arise between the different characters if they had kept the original Characterization of Cap Marvel.

This movie feel like an spinoff of Thor ragnarok . There are so many things in this movie that feel and look like it could be in thor Ragnarok or its sequel. There is a planet in this movie called Allahdin where everybody sing and dance. The humor, the look of it felt like something out of Ragnarok or Love and thunder.

It is crazy to me how much negative impact Thor Ragnarok have had on the MCU.

In my opinion, "I am ironman" death scene is way more cheesy and laughable and cringey than this scene.

You can tell this is one of them 4cac talking points that cacs are bringing back to the coli.

Cacs so happy to see this movie fail, they're accidentally outing themselves as racists.

Isn't there a gay rights parade you should be marching in?
