im outchea livin cert to cert
I hate how this thread turn into a pissing contest about how this "imaginary person" spends money on bullshyt.
When all the statistic point to cost of living rising while wages stay stagnant.
But keep with the humble bragging and bytching about people spending their money on what you consider bullshyt.
You are right to a certain degree, but there are still things we can do to mitigate the damage. iPhones, iPads, premium cable, designer clothes and sneakers, can all be given up, and our quality of life will not suffer one bit.

capitalism ain't workin brehs
Wouldn't that be retired people then?
I think the general consensus is that paycheck-to-paycheck means if you get fired, you've got about two weeks before
There are mad folk who don't have any of this shyt and still suffer. The problem is the $ value of living within your means has gone up and continues to go up. Bus passes, gas, taxes, food, etc....are all going UP. These are all necessities for the most part. So, there's only so much "skimping" you can do. Nikkaz are unemployed or are making low wages....but the cost of things continue to rise at a quicker pace.
And the more you make and the more you own, you pay MORE. Government wants a piece of that dough. It hurts, brehs....that capital gains tax
when i finally got that raise a few years ago i was like only to find out i was in a diff tax bracket and im actually making less than i was before.
you live in the gta like me, you know how exspensive gas is up here, groceries, rent even in a ghetto azz place you can pay like 900 bucks a month if you dont get a subsidy with some 10 year wait. Car insurance is the highest in north america in the gta, property taxes skyrocketing, government taking like 35-40% of your salary
even taking the bus is 3 bucks each wa cash and like 125 a month for a metropass
i remember last year i got a raise for 1,000 bucks
worked out to like 38 bucks extra before taxes on every paycheck, then suddenly our work decided to make us pay for parking which was free before 15 bucks a month
you cant win:crack:

double land transfer tax.
So, everything goes up, meanwhile some folk aren't even getting raises. I think the average salary is $38K here. Yet the average condo price is >$300K and the average house price is >$500K. Rents are HIGH. So how do you live within your means without over extending yourself? Easier said than done.
If the language wasn't so fukked, I'd go to Montreal. Yea, the taxes are high, but the cost of living is much lower than here.
Canada must have a different definition of tax brackets cuz this makes no sense.
