I hate how this thread turn into a pissing contest about how this "imaginary person" spends money on bullshyt.

When all the statistic point to cost of living rising while wages stay stagnant.

But keep with the humble bragging and bytching about people spending their money on what you consider bullshyt.

capitalism is fine. people are scared to step out on their own two and monetize their ideas. they like their slavery...it's safe...and you don't have too think to hard. you just have to exist enough to survive. this isn't capitalism's fault. there are people who have access to a computer and a smartphone that would rather post on instagram and facebook all day instead of finding a few hustles...and there are so many. scared money never made money....and that's exactly what people are holding on to...scared money....they won't turn off CNN or MSNBC so they're afraid of everything. i know 15 year olds doing freelance SEO making $200 a day. there are sites that teach you all of this shyt for free. no excuses. i have no pity for people that don't try harder...and even harder than that.

can you link me to the sites? I've been interested in SEO for a while

When I think of not living paycheck to paycheck I think of folks making enough passive income to live off of where they don't need a biweekly check

:wtb: Wouldn't that be retired people then?

I think the general consensus is that paycheck-to-paycheck means if you get fired, you've got about two weeks before

good for you! i'm not making excuses. when i say it's 'hard' to save money, i mean it's not. i've blown it on dumb shyt, been moving around a lot, several bands that failed. i'm basically calling myself a slacker, sorry if you misunderstood that.

and i did have some shyt to take care of a few years back. i dropped my life to help my mom when she had a stroke and her crib was foreclosed on at the same damn time.

ima be startin school soon.

Because you still depend on that paycheck to live month to month.

If you get fired and have a hard time finding a job what is 6 months of living expenses going to do for real for real.

When I think of not living paycheck to paycheck I think of folks making enough passive income to live off of where they don't need a biweekly check

:what: nikka thats not what paycheck to paycheck means. It means you after you've paid your bills you barely have enough to even eat ramen noodles until your next paycheck. Like if something unexpected happens to your car needing $1000 of maintenance, it wipes you out.

You are right to a certain degree, but there are still things we can do to mitigate the damage. iPhones, iPads, premium cable, designer clothes and sneakers, can all be given up, and our quality of life will not suffer one bit.

Also referred to as 'more month then money'...lot of guys I worked with used that expression, guys with multiple kids and families, when the Recession about wiped out the boat industry, those guys were hurting.
