You do know if that person puts the fire out, they’ve simultaneously stopped someone from putting gas on it and ended the fire. that’s the point. An action that can help. And then let’s work together to rebuild your life.
This analogy is falling apart. Certainly getting the arsonists (Republicans) out of the way (by voting them out) is stopping them from putting gas on it, which is pretty essential to putting out the fire.

@Rhakim I actually respect you more than most fam...but what the fukk are you talking about with this bernie bullshyt??

Bernie would NOT win a general election. Don't tell me you understand this country without understanding this.

We ALL knew Hillary would be close against trump. we said it in real time on here. yall love searching my posts and you can see my own anxiety about the whole thing in the run up to November 2016.

The USA had to bump its head on Trump to understand that we're NOT doing this McGovern shyt.

It’s not because the people who put out the fire have stopped the fire and stopped the person from pouring gas on it. That’s the analogy. You are adding things because you want to justify the person who:
who promises they will stop them from pouring gasoline on it

And not actually stopping the fire, and they haven‘t stopped the person who wants to pour gasoline on it. We need to stop the fire.

This doesn't make any sense. You stop them from pouring gas on it by getting them in a position where they can't pour gas on it, i.e. voting them out.

Nah it does, you didn't understand what I wrote originally--either intentionally or unintentionally, idk how peoples brains work on here sometimes.

I can promise to tell that person to not pour gas on it, but I haven't actually stopped anything. I want the person to stop the fukking fire.

Again, you're not making any sense. You've already acknowledged the Republicans are the arsonists, so it logically follows that they need to be out of the way (i.e. voted out) to address the fire.

Nobody said that's all that needed to be done, but that's a pretty important step, and it's disingenuous to dismiss it as pure 'tribalism' when the most vulnerable people need them out of the way for their own survival.

I said the GOP pour gasoline on the fire. I never said they started it.

And I said the Dems say they promise to tell them to stop pouring gasoline on it.

You are fine with the promise, while I want the fire to be stopped.

You either didn't read it closely or being deliberately obtuse.

You wouldn't want the fukking firefighter to come by and just stop the person from pouring gasoline on it and thinking the job is done. At least I think I wouldn't, but you seem fine with that.

So you still acknowledge they're pouring gasoline on the fire (i.e. making it worse) but tried to make the disingenuous claim that wanting to stop the people pouring gas on the fire is nothing more than 'tribalism' when it logically makes sense that you wound want those people out of the way.

Briahna did what yall keep doing in here.

She conflates polls saying "biden is old and shouldn't run" as the same as "people will vote for anyone else than biden"

She doesn't understand the polls or contexts behind the polls.

When asked she keeps thinking that Marianne Williamson will gain some sort of mainstream report if they're just exposed to her. There's NEVER any accountability for her stances or reflection of reality in trying to win elections. This shyt is just conspiratorial nonsense where she's never wrong.

You can go back and read my analogy. I said what I said, and outside of a spelling issue, I haven't edited my post. You said you'd rather work with the person who promises to stop that person from pouring gasoline on it instead of the person who will stop the fire.

If you stop the fire, the person with the gasoline can't do shyt.

This is disingenuous. I said multiple times that getting the people with the gasoline out of the way was an important, but not the only, step.

This started because you made the claim that voting to get Republicans out was 'tribalism' and no different from the GOP, even though you acknowledged they have the gasoline and are pouring it on the fire. There's plenty I disagree with @CrimsonTider and @℃ertified on but Republicans being a major threat who need to be voted out isn't one of them.

Its not because that was the analogy. Once you realized what you were actually agreeing with, you decided to flip the script and even now saying "getting people out the way" when I said stop the fire.

No, my point has always been to know what the fukk you are voting for. I compared only voting blue to only voting red because both sides think the exact same way. Why? Because that is literally what happens. When you have no ideology and real political education, that's what you get. Because those GOP voters think the Dems will break the country too if in power.

How you gonna say I am disingenuous but then make up this? I don't want those lunatics in power either. The danger is when you don't know who are you are voting for, which @CrimsonTider literally doesn't know, and Nap will vote for Hillary again. I don't want lunatics in power, but I am not down with Diet GOP politicians either. They don't have any

No. I literally said that in my third post in this thread.

Except Dems want Republicans out because Republicans want to strip the rights away from marginalized groups, if not outright stop them from existing altogether. Republicans want Dems out because they think the 'radical left' is doing too much for those same groups. So, no. They do not think the exact same way. Save this #BothSides babble for TLR, please.
