The media? Really? The guy was honeymooning in soviet russia
That's fukking perfect, goddamn you don't know how to keep from burying yourself. Yes, in 2020 the all-out media blitz against Sanders was a big factor. In fact, the "Bernie Sanders honeymooned in Soviet Russia" claim is rated "Mostly False" by snopes.com, a website you've repeatedly cited yourself for fact-checking, and yet mainstream media pushed that claim like crazy.
A 1988 political trip attracted new attention in the lead-up to the 2020 election.

Bernie Sanders actually honeymooned in St. Lucia, not the USSR. The trip to Yaroslavl was official government business to develop a sister-city relationship between Burlington and Yaroslavl as the Cold War was coming to a close and relationships with the USSR were thawing. He traveled as the head of a 12-member delegation, and the idea for the partnership was proposed by Robert Daniels, a University of Vermont professor, and planned long before Sanders's marriage.
How fukking perfect that you just highlighted the media making a false claim about a 32-year-old event that bore zero relation to the presidential race, and tried to use that as proof that the media was not biased against Bernie.
Meanwhile, right in the middle of the campaign Biden had just made up a random lie about getting arrested in South Africa while visiting Nelson Mandela, repeated it over and over on the campaign trail, and the mainstream media barely touched it. But nah, no bias there, fake stories about Biden's honeymoon and a 40-year-old quote about Cuba being taken out-of-context were definitely much more important news stories than Biden openly lying about his own life on the campaign trail.
