Pretty concerning that Biden is stuck at 43%-45% in so many of these polls. Trump is polling better in 2024 than he did in 2020 and 2016. :snoop:

because voters are stupid.

I dont know why yall can't just accept this. You can't just do this "Biden's not doing enough to appeal to them" bullshyt.

"Appealing to them" often means "being a fukking idiot"

Theres no amount of "leaning to the left" he can do to fix this. This is what the bernie dead-enders can't accept about the American voter.

I think the stupid issue is voters are looking at Biden’s age

If he was 60 instead of 80, he probably is winning all these polls by 5

We're in a negative partisanship era. Algorithm only moves with emotional backlash and reaction. I dont see any president getting over 50% for the rest of my life.

I think most of the goofier issues fade as elections get closer. I don't see much value in poll watching this early because so much is hypothetical and people can be more performative when there are no stakes.

Like, I'd say the Democrats overperforming in damn near every special election over the last year and a half is a much better indication of voter sentiment than surveys for an election that's a year away.

I'm still cracking up that you went straight to this when just a few days ago in this very same thread you said:

Every excuse for bernie can't be some accusation that people don't care about the poor or working class or whatever emotional appeal yall trot out. Winning has to matter and the ability to be perceived as being able to deliver matters. This shyt isn't fair, it's politics.

The funny thing was that no Bernie supporter had ever made excuses like that, we think the majority of the American public likes Bernie's positions. But YOU keep doing the exact same "blame the voters" shyt that you claimed Bernie's supporters wree doing.

You all made this excuse since November 2016. Dont lie now.

It was "trust the voters" until they rejected your boy twice :dead:

Quote me. :why:

2016, I thought the two biggest issues were that Bernie got a late start on a real campaign (cause for the first few months he was only campaigning part time without any real expectation to win, just trying to make a point about policy), and then once he got some momentum the DNC flipped out and started trying to game the primaries to hurt him. Even Elizabeth Warren said that 2016 was rigged.

When asked by PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff whether she thought the election was rigged, Warren said: “I think it was.”

“The process was rigged and now it is up to Democrats to build a new process, a process that really works and works for everyone,” Warren said, adding that people need to have confidence in the integrity of the system.

“It’s got to have an outcome that really has the confidence of the people,” she said.

In 2020, I thought the three main issues were:

* captured media made ridiculous, disingenuous attacks on Sanders (comparing his campaign to the Nazis, bringing up 1980s quotes on Cuba completely out of context as the main headline while ignoring total lies that Biden was telling in his campaign speeches in real time).

* which they doubled down on to promote a completely false image that "Sanders can't win a general election" despite every poll showing differently, a narrative that some voters had believed already despite their affinity for him and others only believed cause the media and party pushed it so hard

* and then the entire party leadership voltroned behind a candidate who had only averaged 13% and a 4th place finish in the first three primaries, a candidate who was getting wiped out handily for the 3rd time in his 3rd presidential run, with the Jim Clyburn endorsement and the dropout / Biden endorsement of all remaining Democratic candidates sealing the deal for Biden.

Those have always been my analysis of why Bernie lost those races. You claiming that I blamed the voters and said they didn't care about the poor / working class is a total lie.

And you're STILL not addressing the fact that you falsely accused me of blaming the voters and mocked that excuse, then you immediately turned to blaming the voters yourself. Until 2020, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden had lost every federal election they had ever run, and when Biden finally broke through it was by the slimmest of margins despite fantastic conditions. They're a combined 1 for 5 and damn close to 0 for 5. They are awful candidates, yet somehow you want to portray them as great winners. It's an entirely fabricated narrative.

Again more conspiracy talk about the media :dead:

fam, you deny it, tell me I'm lying...then do the same thing you said I lied about you doing :dead:

There was no conspiracy to undermine sanders. He sucks and lost fairly

The media? Really? The guy was honeymooning in soviet russia and even Sam Seder was baffled why he kept adopting the socialist framing of his arguments knowing it wouldn't work in public. HE did that.

He's terrible gauge of staff from Tad Devine to Briahna Joy Gray to David Sirota.

* which they doubled down on to promote a completely false image that "Sanders can't win a general election" despite every poll showing differently, a narrative that some voters had believed already despite their affinity for him and others only believed cause the media and party pushed it so harda

Sanders can't win a general national election because you dont know the voting public. Vocal support is not widespread support. The only reason Trump boosted Bernie was because Trump liked fukking with democrat unity against Trump.

If you can't win an election when more candidates drop out you're a fukking loser.

Those have always been my analysis of why Bernie lost those races. You claiming that I blamed the voters and said they didn't care about the poor / working class is a total lie.

So whats Bernies excuse for using the primary election by historic margins twice?

The more stupid issue is that he picked Kamala instead of Stacy. IOW, no one feels that Kamala is a competent successor.
