Finally hearing Ill Na Na 2: The Fever for the first time in my life.
While it obviously sounds very 2001-2003 ish... the production is wild and the project was very well put together.
Crazy to think that foxy's debut and Chyna Doll went plat, Broken Silence gold... and then when nana 2 was supposed to release in may 2003, Diddy (who executive produced the project) had a fall out/dissention with Fox and that was that. Got shelved indefinitely (until somebody quietly put it on itunes/spotify back in January 2020 for the first time, albeit a compressed version of retail release with 13... the street advance had 28... you can find both on Youtube).
Next thing you know, she disappears into bolivia to never be heard from again (on a mainstream music level at least).
Really wished this came out.
The beats are easily some of the finest of her career.
Standout tracks:
Now I lay Me Down To Sleep
Stylin
Cruel Summer
Open Book
and my favorite: JUMPIN
Beautiful project man. Fukk, what a shame.
