They were flooding the comments on the stream with drop the price over and over again. There were people there that were there for the purpose of watching the product demoed and interacting with the host so they could see the stuff they wanted to buy.Poor treehouse hosts getting mean comments yeah we can't be doing that

I don't agree with what Nintendo is doing BUT the same energy was not kept when they were talking about the next GTA potentially being 100 dollars or the price of the PlayStation 5 Pro. In other words protest all of it or not at all. Now gamers want to take a stand because Nintendo.

And its also worth acknowledging that people have different expectations depending on the platform and developer.
i don’t think anyone thought a new mario kart would be 80 dollars, most people expect rockstar spending a billion dollars in development on one of the biggest media properties in the world would be the first to make a move.

I get it. But I have been advocating for gamers to put their foot down on anything that goes against the customer base regardless of system. But we have enabled this monster (speaking to gamers as a collective).

At the end of the day, gaming is a luxury and most people that partake in it are well enough off to eat the cost. People are going to spend whatever they want if they enjoy the product.
thats why no one could tell me shyt about the PS5 Pro being overpriced or that $70 dollars on it games were bad. If you like what you’re getting there is no alternative

I have occasionally commented on this discussion forum about how I feel the gaming business model has evolved to the point where selling DLC is more lucrative and companies make more off it than selling the game so they don't need to raise the price of games at the entry point. That's a logical argument about a subject it's not me throwing a tantrum on a live stream spamming irrelevant comments because I'm upset.
Me commenting about something being a poor value for logical reasons I actually give in a conversation about that item when others are talking about it doesn't compare. You're just using false equivalences and strawmen.
I'm one of Nintendo's biggest critics on this site. They aren't wrong here. I totally don't like an $80 Mario Kart. If I don't get the bundle I'm not paying $80 for that. I'm also not gonna run up in some unrelated stream and spam price comments to bog down the chat because a console cost $450 or a game is $80.
