unfortunate cuz they got the roster for it. they def need that brand split to make things better.I hope it goes. AEW was best when it was Dynamite and Dark. AEW is not hot enough/good enough to spread over 5 hrs of content a week. At all.

It’s just going to end up being rebranded as Shockwave and put elsewhere. Which is frankly what it needs.Rumors circulating that Rampage may be gone with the new media deal. I know it's neglected but hopefully not true. They should just let it be an ROH show instead if need be.
If they do keep it and it's AEW, don't matter the network whether tnt, tbs, or tru tv, they def gotta make some changes.
Brand split won’t fix anything if you think it’s a creative issueunfortunate cuz they got the roster for it. they def need that brand split to make things better.
You are 100% right, I have no doubt ratings for Wednesday and ticket sales for TV would go up if AEW would go back to just having to book Dynamite.I hope it goes. AEW was best when it was Dynamite and Dark. AEW is not hot enough/good enough to spread over 5 hrs of content a week. At all.
SRS has always said that some people within AEW never wanted to add Collision and would have preferred to keep Dark/Dark Elevation. You are 100% right, I have no doubt ratings for Wednesday and ticket sales for TV would go up if AEW would go back to just having to book Dynamite.
Sadly, The business model for wrestling has changed drastically in the last 6 years, where now it depends almost exclusively on media rights deals. And those mandate more content and TV shows in order to get more money. Si AEW Is "screwed" in terms of quality. They will most likely become profitable but they will have to put 5-7 hoyrs of TV weekly to make it so
I'm all for them having a C-show because it gets people reps, especially the younger wrestlers. However, I don't feel it needs to be on national TV. There's not a great track record of C-shows being viable post-WCW. Whether it's 'Velocity' or 'Main Event' or whatever, they always die out pretty quickly and end up being canceled or moved to streaming only.
Maybe they can get a YouTube show going again..

I can understand both sides of the argument. Only one can be proven to bring in money though (Collision) while the other is pure long-term conjecture (helping talent get more reps would theoretically pay off down the road as the talent improves).
But wrestling is a content generation business these days.
At the end of the day, the content that brings in money is going to win out almost every time though.
He is on a great run but he's still corny and that's ok.Swerve is on a crazy run right now. Despite all the hurt feelings out there, it'd be foolish to deny how great he's been over the past 16 months
Her barbed wire death match with Megumi Kudo was way more violent & way more believable than anything Moxley, Adam Page, Swerve, or any of those guys have done in their "hardcore" matches. Kudo & Toyoda didn't just do "look guys, I'm hardcore" spots, they had a fight. A violent, realistic fight that left Onita crying real tears.
If Tony Khan's guys can learn to have fights & not just do spots, then we'll finally get sicko mode.
streaming only could work. youtube live maybe. or if they going with max for streaming the ppvs, won't hurt to put it on there, especially if it wont cost them anything. wherever its on, it just gotta be a better product or just revamp it to focus on the younger wrestlers. like a separate booking area from the rest of the stuff. of course ran by someone else and not TK. give someone the young talent to work with and put that on youtube.
