Going back to Athena - when she joined there was that whole thing she spoke about not wanting women's wrestling to get oversexualised and looking back at her run, I think that's been front and centre for her especially with MIT.

I'm probably missing someone, but I can't think of a young, female wrestler that's come in with so little focus on her sex appeal than Billie Starkz.

It helped that she was getting on TV at an age where we all would've felt awkward watching her be sexualised, but she's 19 now and they've still allowed her to stay within a framework of being a wrestling prodigy without the need for sexy photoshoots or showing cheeks in the ring.

It's not that she's not an attractive girl, they've just decided to present her as a wrestler first and foremost rather than a sex symbol and tbh, she's all the better for it :yeshrug:

Her and Nick Wayne have had very similar packaging which feels refreshing to me.

Def a storyline to watch there with all the players involved. Takeshyta and his jealousy of Ospreay plus beef with Okada. Fletcher teaming with Ospreay but being influenced by Callis. Can Ospreay trust Callis or Fletcher, or vice versa? Their tag title match with the Bucks who are friends with Okada. How Hobbs will fit in all this when he returns? Not to mention outside factors like Ricochet looking to target Ospreay and Pac likely not having forgotten about him either. And who knows if any of the other BCC members can get intertwined in that as well. You got a couple different factions with 3 singles titles amongst them. Also remember that Pac lost to Okada at Dynasty in a Continental title defense so they have some history there tho not too important but still.

So many intertwining pieces that they can use and weave thru. Ospreay having to worry about his tag title match plus tag partner or more if they win, as well as worrying about Callis, Takeshyta, Ricochet, maybe even Hobbs and/or Pac. Okada dealing with Takeshyta and who knows who else. So many stories they can weave together from all these guys.

What they do need to do, whether Bucks or Ospreay and Fletcher win, is get those tag titles to a better team eventually. Once they start building that division back up. By Worlds End the latest. Neither of those 2 teams should be tag champs going into 2025.

Before he got injured Hobbs made it clear he was only there for the opportunity so that can always be revisited

Def like that this is an option for her and others. Of course she had to say something cuz of the comment. What some don't realize is that this wrestling shyt isn't guaranteed. Some may not make it and some may have their careers cut short. Good for them to be able to have a possible alternative. Besides its not just about being a wrestler, referee, or commentator, that are the only jobs in a wrestling company. Those are just the ones we see on tv more frequently. Way more routes they can take if need be.

I remember Kassidy saying Tony Khan would pay for both him and Quen to go to school but they declined it because college wasn't for them or something. Didn't realize it was an actual program, at the time Kassidy made it sound like it was something TK was doing specially for them. Maybe it was back then, who knows.

But most of the jobs in WWE aren't on screen jobs. I doubt that is the case with AEW though because they don't have nearly as much stuff going on, and seems like most of their non-wrestling talent that is on screen have secondary jobs in the company. Don't think any other American company is going to have much in the way of behind the scenes staff other than maybe TNA. After AEW and WWE, everything else basically a glorified indie at best.

250k for Rampage, better than the 233k from last week. If only TK would book it better so it can grow. Any number better than the last is an improvement tho. :manny:
