Ducking spoilers for 3 years while they put out games that continue the storyline is trash. They put out promo material for games 2 ahead of you spoiling aspects of the persistent story across games. Just not cool to leave us so far behind.

It isn’t a perfect. But it most likely the closest way anyone here can play hajimari. Without actually learning Japanese. Until it gets localized.

In a lot of ways this is just a fundamentally flawed concept. Maintaining a story across 3-4 console generations that prefers you played all the previous games is a bit much. 10 games over 17 years. Mainstream gaming isn't built for something like that. Kuro needs to be a break from all that other stuff. Cameos are fine but they need to structure it so the past is mostly left behind. Hell Hajimari is a direct sequel to a 10 year old game.
I played the Witcher 3 and I didn't feel like skipping out on 1 and 2 drastically impacted my experience. It filled me in where needed and much of the relevant stuff was new. Maybe I did miss out but I didn't really feel like I did.
Needing to play a 17 year old game to really appreciate your present day one is a great way to limit your appeal. The overwhelming majority aren't gonna go back and play all that older stuff.

Translating the old Falcom games must've been torture.
They better off using the fan patches for the crossbell games.

The fact there are fan-made patches and spreadsheets for Kiseki is absolutely nuts to me. The amount of dialogue in Sky FC is crazy and then you consider it’s probably one of the shortest entries in the series.

I don't really see the value in having those when the official release uses them as a base. Unless your concern is the Japanese dub.So happy Geofronts hard work has been rewarded.

Seems like they're going to release all these games same day for all platforms. I mean it is what it is but now Playstation gamers have to wait for the ports to be done before they can play. All the issues this series has are because the parent company doesn't think globally. Falcom's focus is one platform and one audience so other companies have to sort out the rest.
The crazy explosion of popularity Persona has had should show them you can have a niche JRPG series blow up.

Am on part 3 of cold steel 3..its great ,i think am like 45 % of chapter 3 and 44 hrs clock in.
This game does introduce previous chracters from the previous games,but did i not feel totally lost with agate,tio,randy etc like i got the general gist of what was going on in crossbell at the time.
It sucks that the older games are just being localized because by then i will be done with cs iv
and moved on. I like playing older games but damn u cant expect new comers to play to the whole got damn series to fully catch up.
