Just finished Sky FC. It was a really fun chill game until that final chapter. Still kind of wrapping my mind around everything that occurred. Plus that cliffhanger :damn:

Loved the characters, story, and music. But I will say on hard difficulty that final boss was annoying AF to fight against.

Time to start Sky SC right now lol.

I love SC. It's arguably my favorite game in the series but don't let whatever cliffhanger ending of whatever Trails game you've ever played fool you.

Trails games typically work like this, very slow pacing where it feels like either not much happens or events transpire off screen away from our characters. Each chapter or act is bookended on both sides with some exposition usually with much of the context removed from the conversation. Often these events are somebody standing on some hill far away looking down at our heroes talking to someone else. Many times it's a character we know talking to someone we haven't been introduced to yet. The conversation is structured so you have no idea what they're talking about.

At the end of the game the plot kicks in in a very condensed space. The end of the game is usually some mind-blowing cliffhanger that leaves you craving to know what happens next. The beginning of the next game will reset the board and you'll be back to slow methodical pacing again.

I say all that to say this, there are a lot of games in this series. If you start playing them consecutively it will burn you out. I played Zero and Ao back to back and it was too much for me. All the Cold Steel games I played one per year as they were released and the Sky games I played also one per year.

This one was a pretty brutal cliffhanger. Probably the second most brutal. Still Cold Steel III is the worse cliffhanger in the series.

Cold steel 3 had me hot when it ended :russ:

I'm trying to imagine how the Japanese gamers felt. We knew there was a Cold Steel IV by the time we got III. They thought III was supposed to be the end of the Cold Steel games until that happened.
