What did Aang do that outweighed what she did?

not so much what Aang did rather a lot of Korra accomplishments are clean ups to her fukkups. The whole second season is one big clean up. She was never in front of Uaalaq(sp?) He really opened the spirit portal. Everything she did was in response of uaalaq.

She also allowed the destruction of Republic City, city of zafou(sp), and the death of an earth queen. Disappeared for three years and had to again clean up a mess she created.

Korra inherited an earth in peace and prosperity. Somehow she fukked that all up

It makes for a good show.. But at actually managing the world, Korra was terrible at it.

I think using the Avatar state would pretty much be a given to beat Amon. Might even need a couple other people to help as well because he could probably incapacitate the Avatar if he has enough distance. They would also have to draw up a plan to blind him since all he needs is his eyes to bloodbend.

But remember, it was only Amon and his family that could blood bend anytime of the day so unless they're battling during a full moon, the most Katara would be able to do is defend herself from the bloodbending. Then it would come down to a straight up water bending battle and we know that Amon was still an elite waterbender as well so it could end up being an even battle.

Yup She would need the help of at least two other people I believe. The people of the Avatar world need to come up with some way to combat blood benders and evil air benders.

Better safe than sorry.

True. But the storyline didn't call for it. Plus, they were the absolute main focus of TLA.
True. Just a shame because Zuko was still around and his family got nothing but cameos at the most throughout the entire series. Sucks that Mako of all people was the premier firebender and he really didn't have any progression at all past season 1 or so.

If you had to list bending from strongest to weakest, which order would it be? Yes, including subskills. You don't have to list metalbending, because that's already covered under earth bending.

Water bending (can heal and blood bending)

Fire bending (lighting)

Air bending (hard as hell to hit and the counters are devastating)

Earth bending (metal bending can be useful unless a person uses platnium)

Honestly there all pretty much equal. A good bender will become a master, and if you are smart you can make plans and countermeasures to beat someone stronger than you. What made Amon so powerful was his element of surprise. he could just start blood bending out of nowhere, but if you could sneak up on him none of that mattered. One thing I noticed in season 1 of Korra is that the element of surprise is king on that show. The chi blockers were so hard to stop for Korra because she had no experience fighting them. Just like when Zaheer broke out of prison. None of those guards were able to stop him because of his new powers that were never seen by the guards.

Glad you pointed out that thing about Airbenders

A lot of people gloss over the fact that they're always a handful because no one has experience fighting them anymore.

No water bending is overpowered. Amon bodied everyone. The only person ever to stand up to him was Aang, who had to go in the avatar state. So far in both series, sans The Avatar, only a blood bender can body a blood bender. Folks tried to sneak up on Amon but he sensed the water in their bodies. And this is ignoring the standard water bender's ability to freeze

A master Water bender will always beat a master Air/Earth/Fire bender.
