Breh.. when this game first came out I watched hours and hours of the walkthrough.
The story is amazing sure.. but the gameplay is repetitive as fukk oh god.
Sneaking through buildings infested with infected humans and taking them down, collecting shyt in abandoned apartment buildings etc.. that was literally the game.
How did this shyt get game of the year again?
I'm still going to get it and play it though. not sure if I should get on the PS3 because that's the original or the remastered for the PS4.

Resource management plays a big part od the game, forcing you to be economical with the use of what you scavenge. I think the locations you visit are pretty varied, loving the last mission of Fall as we fought off hunters and infected in the streets of a Boston suburb.

I've had it for years but only played little bit of it. I got to the part where you have to push a garbage bin to reach a fire escape and couldn't figure out how to do it and just quit

Just beat it. Would I have made the same decision as Joel? I really don’t know. He didn’t have the time to think it over, to weigh the consequences of both options. He acted on raw, unfiltered emotion. 10/10 game. I only owned a 360 last gen, so this was my first opportunity to play what many call a classic, since I now have a PS4. I can’t disagree with them. 10/10 game, a perfect game in every respect. I’d love to play an official remake, but I know that’s not happening. Cyberpunk 2077 was my most anticipated game before playing this, but TLOU2 is now what I’m fiending for.

Characters, writing, pacing, resource management, and the gameplay rarely felt repeptive but I was playing on the hardest difficulty.
Clearing out infected feels way different than fighting hunters. Without your “see through walls” and very limited shivs, it makes hearing clickers terrifying as fukk so you’re constantly trying to improvise with what you have around you.
Fighting two hunters with no two bullets and then falling into a desperate brutal struggle with objects feels very different than a bunch of runners hearing you.
Honestly, I’d suggest playing a harder difficulty and getting the “weapon sway” upgrade. Drastically changes the game
