finally getting around to playing last of 2 . what was the fukking point of killing off joel so early in the game? I'm in the part where ellie is in Seattle trying to catch up to Tommy.

Druckman probably wanted shock value and he allegedly used a story about a crowd of Palestinian people killing a pair of Israeli soldiers in retaliation for killing a few kids as his inspiration for the story in this one. It’s super heavy handed in who it wants you to view as the monster in this story.

What do you mean what was the point? You dont see how that act essentially inspired the story for the rest of the entire game? Why do you think Ellie is in Seattle now? Why do you think Tommy is in Seattle?

Anyways, keep playing the game. You're not even halfway through it yet

lol it’s not heavy handed at all, obviously I’m not gonna say anything to spoil for breh above, but EVERYBODY is seen to look like a piece of shyt at some point in the game, as they are living in a broken piece of shyt world, I genuinely don’t see the complaint that some characters are given more favouratism over others
