From what I seen they made Joel and tommy look weak to big up the strong woman narrative
The same tommy and Joel who battled the worst of the worst from the first game

Right and wrong has nothing to do with Abby being upset she lost her father. Everyone in this world exists in a morally grey area. Whether her dad deserved what he got factors ZERO into HER motivations. I'm not sure what is confusing about that. Anyone who has a loved one killed in this gritty world would probably want revenge. The fact that Abby killed Joel to avenge her father is passed an opinion, it's a fact within the plot.

Sounds like you are really just arguing that Abby deserved no sympathy, which is ironic because nobody is arguing she does. It could be argued none of these characters deserve sympathy. We are talking about understanding her motivations.(which are pretty clear, so much so they are borderline ham-fisted and blatant)

If I'm a kid surviving in a post disaster world and my only surviving family member (my dad) gets killed I'm not going to be sitting there analyzing the morality of the situation and the justifications of his death. My dad's dead I miss him and I'm going to get who did it, pretty simple. You are speaking from the omniscient viewer perspective and not the character.

Finding her father dead haunts her in her dreams sporadically throughout the game, she is so bent on finding her fathers killer that the lead that sends her to Jackson is a DECADE later.

None of this stuff has to do with who was right or who was wrong or should such and such have done this or that. It's all just human emotion.

When Abby killed Joel did Ellie sit back and ponder whether Joel deserved it or not? did Ellie go "well Joel shouldn't have helped a stranger and gone back to their camp so I'm not going to seek revenge" No she didn't because she could give two fukks, she knows Joel has done fukked up shyt, everyone has. All she cares is someone she loved got killed and she's going to get who did it.

That's the whole point of the story is the duality of both characters doing the same exact thing for the same reasons and you getting to observe their motivations from their perspective.

it was merely 4 years since her father was killed and again if she’s in her early 20s that would probably make her a older teenager when she got the news about her father - which ultimately means she should have some type of understanding of the complete situation of her fathers actions of having to take the life of a 14 year old

and for the record I never said Abby shouldn’t be mad at what happen my point is towards the people behind this game and the writers for calling this revenge game when in my personal opinion revenge is due to someone Having wrongdoing done to them which results in sympathy for for that particular person I’ll keep saying it over and over and over Abby father could have just backed up and let that lil girl Ellie live

and as far as the motive of Ellie & Abby - I personally think it’s apples and oranges

Not sure how they made Joel and Tommy seem week.

Joel has to save Abby's ass and gets shot in the leg with a shotty while his guard his down and thinks she's friendly, mangling his leg and putting him out of commission. He was then surrounded by 7 people and got his ass beat bleeding to death on the ground. None of it made him look weak he was just caught slipping by chance and circumstance. Not being able to defeat 7 people while you're hamstring is strawberry jelly doesn't make you weak. I guess you could say trusting strangers was a weak move but it all happened in the midst of an infected attack with all them just kind've scrambling to survive, dumb sure, but I didn't classify it as weak.

Tommy spends most of the game getting the better of everyone in Seattle a few steps ahead of you and is even a pseudo boss fight in the late game. He catches an injury but his toughness is never in question.

It's just that you made a pretty hyperbolic statement that 'feminism ruined the game'

Ruined? This is a lot like the user reviews on Metacritic. You're not even sure what you're mad about but have made a blanket statement about the game being ruined and gave a reason you haven't even observed yourself.

Like are Joel and Tommy supposed to be invincible? Is that the only way to not be 'feminism'

There is a cut scene where Abby tells Owen she found Tommy he said I thought he quit a decade ago and I misremembered it my apologies.

On the subject of feminism which is the entire basis of this game...Apparently gay Ellie isn't strong woman enough, so they went out of their way to compensate for her feminine "weakness" by creating a masculine straight woman with popeye arms and hulk strength because that's apparently how you make a "strong woman" protagonist...

The fact that feminists and their emasculated e-simps are ok with that message because the masculine straight woman killed the guy all men liked from the first game speaks volumes...Apparently messaging of the game doesn't matter, all that really matters is "owning" and pissing off the incels...

And I don't want to hear about bu bu but Ellie whooped her ass at the end of the game...Abby Matrix was tortured, half baked and left on the beach to die strapped to a cross like Jesus...Plus Ellie got a knife in her hand, they had to weaken the straight masculine woman for the gay feminine woman to stand a chance against her in a fist versus knife fight...

It just goes to show you what really matters to these people...

The fact she's bulky and masculine is only relevant because the feminists advising ND felt Ellie wasn't a strong enough female to lead this game on her own...

Why wasn't Ellie enough? Why did they need to add an overly masculine second white woman playable character to this game?

What did Abby add to this franchise? She kills Joel and essentially becomes him with Lev taking on the kid Ellie role...Why did we need to play through that again with a cheesy revenge story sprinkled on top?

That's the problem with this character, they spent more time working on the appearance of this character (bull dyke demeanor and overly masculine that makes you think she could be trans) for political agenda points than focusing on working her into the story in a unique sensible way...She kills Joel, they put you on this quest to avenge him and at the very end toss plot armor on her to save her...Sure folk would still hate, incels gon incel but regardless how she looks, the majority wouldn't be so negative of the character if she added something to this franchise other than political bullshyt...
