Someone that hasn't played the game has the 3rd most posts in this thread with nothing but criticisms
Joel walked into a room where he and Tommy were outnumbered like 8 to 2, within 15 seconds of entering the room he gets a shotgun to the leg.
Abby sneaks into a building and gets the drop on Tommy.
You make it seem like they got washed in a 1 on 1
It's like not watching Star Wars and then watching a summary of Return of the Jedi and going "I don't get the big deal about Darth telling Luke the he's his dad, didn't have much of an emotional impact"
I mean, Lev saved her life. If she doesn't take them out with the crossbow, Abby dies. I feel like if anyone saves your life, there's a connection where you want to make sure that they're good.
There's nothing to indicate that she's not a woman.
Abby father gets killed, she dedicates the next four years of her life training to kill the man that did it in a facility with weights, a farm where they grow vegetables and livestock where someone with her status gets to cut in line to eat burritos all the time. The idea that she wouldn't be able to have muscle is dumb as fukk.
It works for me because when Abby shows up when your'e Ellie, you hate her, she's the piece of shyt that killed Joel. But after you play through her story, you understand how killing Joel was something she felt she needed to do and seeing her go through all the shyt she went through just to have everyone she cared for killed by Ellie/Tommy/Dina, that scene at the theater becomes completely different. You understand why she's on some shyt and is pulling the trigger at everything that moves.
How did either of them look weak? From what I seen they made Joel and tommy look weak to big up the strong woman narrative
The same tommy and Joel who battled the worst of the worst from the first game

You didn't play the first one, of course it wouldn't have had an emotional impact on you.Speaking as someone that never played TLOU1, I watched a playthrough out of curiosity because of how angry people got after the leaks. The story is really contrived. Joel dying didn’t have emotional impact on me but the writing leading up to his death was so cheesy to me...I saw it coming as soon as he rescued Abby. In fact, a lot of the writing is pretty flat because a lot of things just happen without any real build up or payoff.

But everyone riding motorcycles and mountain bikes in a world where some streets are outright destroyed or you need to cross bodies of water makes sense
The fact you had to edit out what I wrote about the game Days Gone proves I’m 100% right and you’re just in your feelings because it makes no sense that the year 2037 in a post apocalypse world people will be traveling around on horses
Even though it’s not confirmed, isn’t it basically implied that Abby was transgender? I thought that’s why she had such a connection to Lev (who was also Trans)?
I dunno it just would make more sense why Abby had such a connection to Lev specifically.

She lives in a Football stadium and is the WLF's top soldier, she probably can get whatever she wants. You see how they skip the food line
Holy shyt gamers are fukking stupid.
Abby lives in the fukking Seattle Seahawks stadium where she had unlimited access to their training facility. Inside her and Manny’s suite she has weights right next to her bed. Not to mention the WLF raised their own cows in the stadium.
she’s wasn’t starving.

The game is a 6/10 based on this. I get the direction they were going with the "revenge is bad" narrative but it was poorly executed and suffered from terrible pacing. The moment in Ellie's story where you encounter Abby the first time at the climax of the game, they stupidly ruin it by reverting back to Day 1 in Abby's story which completely takes you out the moment and forces you to play as Abby for 10 hrs just to get back to that spot just for Ellie to get her ass beat.

Nah, I don't think after something like that, the two of them could just sit down and just talk it out. Also would have loved for Ellie and Abby to have had an actual dialogue at the end about how fighting each other is pointless and costed them both so much but nah Ellie was just like "Take him" and Abby just dipped
