Assuming someone who reviews video games for a living went into a 20+ hour game with the intent on hating because he saw a 2 minute leak with no context is logical?

Never mind the fact the game is a sequel to a game he is on record giving high praises to...

Yall look for any illogical reasons to dismiss legitimate complaints about this game..smh.

Ultimately all the cirticism's when you get rid of all the word vomit degenerates into a "wah why did Joel die" fest of bullshyt.

The only legit gripes about this game I've seen online are of the side sections and the fact that it kind of get's a bit long.

Among AAA titles released in the last 3 years this is probably on the mid to bottom tier in terms of story. Comparing this to the Witcher 3 or RDR2 and saying this belongs on gaming story mount rushmore is a joke

The message of the game is dumb and can't even jive with the gameplay
If you want to make someone feel bad about killing and revenge you need to at least include a pacifism option in playthrough even Kojima got this message off in MGS without it looking stupid.
Ellie killed so many people just to kill Abby and then she stops because one more person would be continuing the cycle of revenge like all the dogs and human beings she killed beforehand don't have people who cared about them.

Didn't even do a good job of demonizing Joel since people are still all in over hating Abby even at the finale. At least include a flashback of Joel during his time as a ambusher or something but no all they got is Joel killing some stupid ass surgeon who pulled a knife on him so he could kill a young girl for a "chance" at a vaccine

Then they ruin Ellie for the purposes of the plot to progress. Sony should definitely be most mad about this
This franchise got ruined in 2 games

Make Tommy's character inconsistent af one minute he's like nah fukk revenge and then a couple of years later he's like wtf we gotta kill this girl. No reasoning needed apparently
Its too much and its stuff like that along with all the boring characters peppered throughout the story that just make this story so much worse than the first games.

Gameplay is immaculate but the story is severely lacking

He's doing what he always do. Going with the YouTube crowd's hate for the game. I don't see how anyone can rate TLOU2 lower than a 7 (really an 8). I feel like any/most lower is just to get people talking about their review on social media. But, there are legit some people who are not just tryna get clicks, and views. Who are just not feeling the game, who legit tried it, gave it a chance, and wanted to enjoy it but didn't (to them). Joe is 100% not one of those people. HE READ THE LEAKS to arguably the most anticipated game of the generation, that he knew he'd review HE THEN MADE A VIDEO SAYING DON'T BUY/PLAY THE GAME, SCREW ND. Because at the time of the leaks. That was the hot thing to do. He still played and reviewed the game KNOWING he already had his mind made up. You can tell in this review video when Joel died in the first 2 hours. It assured him even more to claim he hates the game. If he really feels about the game the way he claims he does. Then he let leaks, and 2 hours in the beginning ruin the remaining 30 hours of the game for him. Also Abby was the one of the main reason he WAS angry at the game. Until he played as her. I watched a little of one of his streams, and he clearly started liking Abby, but he couldn't upset his subscribers who were upset with her. He tried/trying too hard to hate a videogame character

THIS NIKKA SAID GAMEPLAY HAS NO INNOVATION, AND IT'S "EXACTLY THE SAME AS TLOU PART 1"

But he gave MGSV a 9/10, he gave RDR2 a 9/10 despite it's flaws. He thinks RE3 REmake and TLOU2 is =He thinks Death Stranding, Valorant, and Control is better than TLOU2

He shyts on the game for 95% of the review. Then he downplays or doesn't mention at all what the game does better than most other games (tension, set pieces/encounters etc).

I don't even think he has his own opinion on the game. He's (again) just going with the hate crowd.


I've heard like 3-4 years ago from multiple sources. That this guy Angry Joe gave TLOU a 10/10, but didn't know who the Firefly's were.That right there tells you JOE WAS NEVER A FAN OF THE SERIES. HIS FOLLOWERS WERE. SO HE GAVE IT A 10/10. Not to shyt on TLOU 1, but that game had pacing issues as well. How many times you had to set up ladders and such in that game? Didn't effect his score at all because ND was loved then by his subscribers.
Look, his editing is awesome imo, and i'm subscribed to him. That being said i don't take his reviews too serious. I had to point out some things/contradictions in this one though. There's a lot more contradicting, and dumb opinions he said in the review i might rant about later

That's the point of the story though - Abby's father is not absolved of wrongdoing, nor is Joel, Abby, or Ellie. Characters make difficult decisions and live with them, then karma catches up. One selfish act begets another. The ending is meant to be Ellie and Abby breaking that cycle.

They could've waited until Ellie was awake and talked to her about it with Joel in the room just like the doctor and Marlene did. They weren't in that much of a rush for a vaccine lets make sure everybody involved is aware of the magnitude of the situation.

It's basically the reason it blew up in his face when Joel came for Ellie.

The only issue I had with the ending was why Ellie wanted some formal duel with Abby

Somewhere in my long ass written ranti wrote "I don't even think he has his own opinion on the game. He's (again) just going with the hate crowd".

I'm telling you if the leaks dropped like it did (or didn't, it doesn't matter really), and his subscribers, and others YouTubers loved it. His tone on the game would've been different, and if not he wouldn't have been as vocally negative for 95% of the review.

"The things he say in his review were clearly on point & can’t be denied" Not everything he said was on point though. What can't be denied? His opinions? The game has it's problems like pacing/Abby's section being too long. Some decisions may be questionable. But a 6/10 bro?

I feel like those who love the game are the majority, and those who hate it are the minority, but they're also the loudest.

Of those ten games. Which ones have better gameplay than TLOU2?

Bonus questions* What all does part 1 do better than part 2? If this was a standalone game, and part 1 didn't exist. Do you think the reviews would be different in general (better, worse, or the same)? Would your personal review be different?

Love or hate the game. I love to have discussions about it. It's so decisive, and both sides have some interesting/valid points. Whether we all agree with each other or not.
