Abbey's the villain of the game, no matter how much juelzing is done about her father getting killed even though he wanted to murder an unconscious girl for her immunity cells . Last time I checked, no one ever said "Let's wait until Ellie wakes up and let's tell her the situation and give her an option." Abby killing Joel over something that happened 4 years ago, especially after he helped save them from the Infected, led to her friends, including her lover, Owen, getting murked. The whole point of the game is that revenge should be avoided at ALL times.

@kingofnyc nobody answered my previous posted questions. I'd respectfully like to see your opinions on some of my questions below:


Can you name ten story driven games from this current gen that has a better story in your honest opinion?

Of those ten games. Which ones have better gameplay than TLOU2?

Bonus questions* What all does part 1 do better than part 2? If this was a standalone game, and part 1 didn't exist. Do you think the reviews would be different in general (better, worse, or the same)? Would your personal review be different?

Love or hate the game. I love to have discussions about it. It's so decisive, and both sides have some interesting/valid points. Whether we all agree with each other or not.

Honestly speaking I didn’t play this game
I watched a bunch of people who do the walk-through on YouTube and every single one of them said something consistency that the gameplay is pretty much the exact same as the first one which I did play and I thought that gameplay was OK

if i was to rate TLOU i would have gave it an 8/10
Great story but it did have several holes in it which most peoples love to ignore : as I said gameplay was OK at best : I thought the supporting characters were phenomenal : the main characters solid - Joel grew on me throughout the game & and i never was a huge fan of Ellie, but i developed a bit of compassion for her solely based off not knowing anything about her father her mother being killed at a young age and everybody’s coming in her life basically leaving her

now as far as other story driven games that were better
I honestly can’t tell you because I’m not much of a gamer like that
I will tell you my opinion is if we compare apples to apples with this post apocalypse or disease/virus narrative the 3 games that I played similar was The Division, The Division 2, Day Gone
The Division and Days Gone in my personal opinion were way, and I mean way better than TLOU...
The Division 2 was fun to play but it could’ve easily been a DLC ...
so going back to your original question this game, since i gave the original an 8 - TLOU2 is a least a 6 (because as I stated this game supporting characters are shyt compared to the original being phenomenal and this storyline is even more shyt when I thought the original was very good/great)

With all that said I may not be the person you’re looking forward to having this sort of debate ... solely because I wasn’t that big of a fan of the first game
I believe the most interesting debate that can happen is someone who absolutely positively loves the 1st one and thinks it’s one of the best games of all times YET hate this game

OT but I finished up Uncharted LL. Took me until the end of the game to get untrained from this beautiful combat/stealth, but it was yet another solid outing from ND nice lighthearted story to balance out this dark one too

Serious question hand to god, you HONESTLY believe people who give this a zero and one out of 10 are legitimate? Especially when thousands and thousands of them were placed within hours of the game releasing? Hours after release for a 25~30 hour game?

Here's the problem with you guys who are parroting Metacritic's USER score over the critic's reviews.

Majority of the critics gave it very high scores and it's overall score is 94.

How do you then, say these critics gave this game a high score due to outside influences but stop short of accusing other high profile games of not getting "paid" reviews?

If you're going to accuse critics of not being genuine, then say NO high profile game's review score is official and only the user score should be taken at face value.

Breh you’re completely right you have absolutely no argument with me
those people who gave this game a 0 or 1 are trolls
but the truth is the game originally got a whole bunch of 10/10 - which most people can agree was bullshyt it’s self
honestly speaking the game should’ve got an 8 or 9 at best from them so-called expert/reviewer‘s who got the game 1st
cause in reality, the average player would’ve gave the game 7 or 8/10

so at the end of the day the only people you can blame is IGN & the so-called gaming experts who reviewed it before & claimed it was one of the greatest games ever

I just don’t know how you can make the conclusion that AJ only sides with his subscribers opinions
where are you getting this from and how can you prove that ? I'm subscribed to him, been so for years. From my observation he goes with the YouTube crowd 95% of the time. I like the production of his reviews though.

well I’ll use one example of his observation of ND trying to make the player ... dislike Ellie while liking Abby When he made that point i hit the ND tried to make people like Abby. I would say 100% they tried that (if you dislike Abby you're probably going to dislike the game). But trying to make the player dislike EllieThey did no such thing. I was afraid they were going to try that when the leaks dropped. But they didn't. You, and i know. Killing some dogs ain't gonna make us, or the majority of TLOU fans dislike Ellie. The character we all love from part 1 seven years ago. If we know it. I'm sure Neil, and the rest of ND knows that. Next nikkas gonna say ND tried to make us hate Ellie by making her put a shiv to a teenagers (lev) neck.

then he went to footage of Abby hugging dogs... petting dogs... playing with dogs....

which was an excellent observation on his part But he's wrongYou HAVE to kill ONE dog in this game. Abby's WLF dog. ALL the others are optional. He made a montage of Ellie killing dogs that were OPTIONAL Tell me this. Who is controlling Ellie when she's killing all the dogs in his review? He was playing on Moderate with accessibility options enabled btw. The dog AI's was not on his ass like that. If they were, GG. He knew what he was doing. Killing them dogs as Ellie ain't bother him. He went out his way to kill those dogs in the game to further push his narrative.

So let’s delve into GTA V online
if my memory serves me correct because it was about but 7 years ago
I believe the reason the Metacritic and any other critic or rating was low was due to the original online release... which result was a ton and I mean a ton of problems with people lagging getting knocked off line people purchasing cars & property and then it completely disappearing .... it was really a lot of bad shyt that happened for weeks & months till Rockstar was later on to fix .... and as they say the rest is history .... because the game went on to becoming the most successful / highest grossing entertainment entity in the history of this planet

so all in all I don’t think your able to use GTA V online as an example

Those aren't the only games with very low user scores. Modern Warfare which only released less than a year ago has a very low user score and I'm sure that game isn't trash but people like to use w/e controversy is hot at the moment to mass review a game to lower numbers.

Modern Warfare 2 for PS3/360 has a 6.5 user score, which is pretty low. We gonna say MW2 is a trash shooting game? People are spiteful and will use w/e lame excuse to shyt on anything for any reason.


I say this to say, judging a game by it's user score alone is silly as it doesn't tell the full picture. I know about GTA V's online launch, I played it.
