Just finished....holy shyt.
Brutal fukking game.

And, amazing game. I dont know what people are looking for in a goddamn video game to call this terrible. I mean, sure it was slow at times, but overall the story pulled through and a lot of the choices that i questioned early on paid off. And, shyt, the encounters were wild. Game physics better than Ive ever seen, so much room for strategy and tactics.
Before Santa Barbara I was thinking it was a bit too dark and cynical, but they give us just enough...i dunno...goodness, I guess.

Damn I heard reviewers saying this game was super long but it looks like some of yall have already beat it:ehh:

To those that have finished, how many hours did it take to complete?
25~30 hours long for most people. If you play for a few hours a day that's a pretty long game. To compare, I beat Assassin's Creed Origins in about 50 hours but that game felt overly padded and artificial at times due to it's design.

I have summers off...been playing way more than is healthy lol.
It’s a pretty long game, especially if you crank the difficulty up.

damn that almost seems kind of short:patrice:But then again I'm coming off of quarantine playthroughs of RDR2, AC:Odyssey, and P5R so my whole concept of time has been warped for the past few months or so:lolbron:

Also, you can crack safes in this without codes. The distinct click gives the combinations away. Did the Courhouse Safe entirely by ear. Saw the code in jet black marker on the whiteboard as I was leaving:dead:

Why would you waste time doing some tedious shyt like that? :mjlol:

That's not short at all but compared to P5R that looks short lol. 25~30 hours of a heavy game like this is perfect as any longer and the game runs the risk of being bloated.

Damn y’all didn’t waste any time. I’m still on day one.

Likewise. Just cleared downtown Seattle and got the trophy. Taking my time with this. Still haven't run into any "normal" enemies yet. All infected. The pacing is much slower than the original and thus far, I'm cool with that.

It seems like the people who don’t like the story just wanted something safe like Ellie and Joel avenging the death of Tommy or something, with a basic 100% evil antagonist. That would’ve been the only way to make these people happy
That's how I feel too.

it's ironic that not having a cookie cutter basic ass story has people calling the story garbage.

Well trust me you’re better off looking for the notes which are usually close by instead of sitting there scrolling 1-99 for three slots

Obviously, but I wasn't trying to break the immersion by Googling the code and at the moment, I wasn't certain whether or not I'd overlooked it in a previous area. It's not time intensive at all and ND made it fairly accessible & obvious. Ellie is a juvenile delinquent. Not immersion breaking at all to consider she could crack a safe without a code in short order.
