Also, I know I said it before but I’m still in awe of the physics and contextual animation system of this game. Naughty Dog needs to start sharing this knowledge with other Sony studios.
Ghost of Tsushima would have benefited greatly from whatever in-house engine Naughty Dog uses. And it would also be more appealing to me if it was wide linear like this rather than open world. You still get rewarding exploration, as this game proves, with the added benefit of photorealistic graphics as well as a complex physics, mutilation and contextual animation system. It also gives developers control over the pace of a story and set-pieces. Not everything has to be open world.
sorry brehs, I’m talking bout some other shyt, but looking at this game I can’t help but imagine the type of mayhem you could cause if a samurai game used this engine.
