I like the comraderie of Ellie and Dina so far even tho Ellie is dry sullen and moody which is understandable. I think the biggest improvement is enemy AI especially humans. Most games have this singular patterned enemy interaction formula. For instance in AC all the enemies just have a set pattern they walk. Easy to track. And if you do get spotted, you run away and hide. after a min they will completely stop pursuing you and go back to their programmed patterns. Here the enemies have patterns but their actions are completely unpredictable. The humans are constantly paranoid. Head on a swivel. If you do get spotted the attention to detail is unlike any I’ve seen. Call outs. Always pursuing. You can hide but you gotta keep moving and find flank routes. And because of the low ammo/Ellie shytty aim especially without the proper perks moving past areas can be very difficult. Sometimes it takes me 5-7 mins just taking out 3 enemies(stealthy) I still haven’t ran into any other infected type beside runners and clickers. Still making my way to the TV station. But I’m confused. Someone in this thread said the game was short, easy, and I that i should be done by now :ohhh:
The dogs not gonna let you take that long. They'll be on your ass and you'll have to throw them off. The Scars hunt in groups so it's much harder to kill one unnoticed. Once I went to Hillcrest the difficulty spiked something terrible. Also the Clickers can see you through sounds. When they make noise if you're too close even if not moving they'll take you out.

I got to the point where I just rush the enemies and either die or manage to kill them all. Just do it over till I pass. There are other games that force stealth on you that don't feel like they handicap you as much. I feel like in say Tomb Raider's reboot series or the Arkham games you as the player are much more empowered than you are in this game. You're doing stealth but you're just as much a predator. Here you're doing stealth but you're the prey just trying to make it out alive.

Only been able to play like two hours so far. Graphics are insane although I get some thing that looks a bit like screen tearing when I turn the camera fast (OG PS4).

Have to get a better feel of the gameplay changes before I judge it. First encounter with the runners and the dodge mechanic I got my ass killed over and over because the timing needs to be so exact due to the animation.

I know this is a story driven game but the gameplay really does not look like it’s changed much from part 1.

ya I came close to dying cuz I kept thinking I could just swing on em like in part 1 but you gotta dodge and counter...my stubbornness dissipated when I seen my health bar getting drained tho lol

Bloaters in this game are insane compared to the first game. They buffed these nikkas so much they feel like Bloodborne bosses :damn:

I’m playing on hard. Can’t imagine this shyt on survivor :whoa:

also, those dogs are a pain in the ass and make the combat a lot deeper and methodical. you can’t sit in the same spot trying to learn enemy routes. The dogs will find you and fukk your whole shyt up. Actually, even their approach to “tall grass” mechanic is brilliant as enemies can still see you and the grass has different levels of growth so your stance has to change accordingly. That coupled with them bytch ass dogs had me stressing at one point but I started molotoving and trap mining them bytches :heh: That was until I got my bow and arrow :jawalrus:

Seraphites are probably my favorite enemy faction in any video game. Those whistle calls have to be the best enemy call sign I ever experienced, and they hunt in groups. Their A.I seems better/tighter than other enemies too

seriously, every time I hear those whistle calls :damn:

This game is amazing :wow:

I had the goat interaction by the gas station were I was detected and 6 WLF were hunting me. All of the sudden they stopped pursuing and took up position cause a gang of clickers/runners came racing out the gay bookstore ( :dame: ) I picked them off while they were distracted with them. Too bad Dina was glitched on top of a light pole and I had to replay the encounter over :dame:
Dina fukked me up where I'm trying to rush into a room to hide and she's crouched right there taking mad long. Ended up getting me killed. That same shyt happened with me with clickers/runners coming out of nowhere. I thought the AI was glitching out and saw them dip to fight i was like :whew:
