@qwer explain your position. Try to do it without insults and deflection. Stop speaking as though you are an authority on Black Americans. Most of us don't know you exist and our smoke his geared towards other minority groups and whites. Sometimes it's easier to shut up, listen and learn.
My position is for ADOS to right for reparations, end white supremacy, etc and stop wasting their time attacking black immigrants

That's the same narrative that proves reparations won't happen and yes it's a difference. She comes from education and wealth, daddy is a professor and mommy is a lawyer or the other way around. She got little in common with us coming from the hoods and single-parent homes.

It's easier for her because the language was different and less offensive but she's able to be the little black girl on the bus held back by the evil white man back in the day when she got nothing in common with that.

She and people like her being able to associate themselves with poverty and oppression when they see fit is the problem, those of us from the bottom, we're the ones who constantly get muted due to lack of intellect or credentials for us to speak which is not fair. She's a privileged and upper class who's able to mask her privilege which is an issue. Mark Levin is right she got little in common with us and we need to have this discussion because it's overdue... We got the worse of the slavery debate.

All IBW can say is Racist, she can't even debunk anything he said...
I agree with what your saying but I’m saying that has nothing to do with her being ADOS or non ADOS and more with the fact that she comes from a wealthy background/higher socioeconomic class

She told us she wasn't black when she was sworn in as the first Indian AG of California.
Can you give me a source on that? Assuming that that’s true then I agree with you she can’t play both sides

is that whats really being said or are you just reading twitter too much?

yall really think someone would go to howard, pledge a black sorority and make it successfully and socially through that university if they did not relate to/understand other blacks and "ados" people?

:mjlol:

ados/fba e-cliques waitin on them butter biscuits like :blessed:

No one said she wasn't "black" most people are saying that she is not African American/ADOS.

This topic reveals the difference between people who understand what power means and those who don't.

I paraphrased the Nas line recently in a thread about Booker T. Washington, and it applies here

Queens dudes AAs run you dudes Obama/Harris, ask Russell Simmons Valerie/Desiree.

The king makers or queen makers in both cases were individuals and groups that are solidly African American. They vetted , cosigned, and will have a hand in steering these nonAA candidates. The candidate winning the election promotes THEIR directives and agendas and validates and increases their power moving forward. Kings come and go, king makers remain.

Also, the people in those organizations know and respect their ethnic and family cultures from the time they are children. They weren't grown men suddenly discovering ethnic pride on the cue of a Youtuber. Pride and knowledge of who they are and the history of their people here is something they learned from their families. As you pointed about before, some of them can trace the name, date of arrival and ethnicity of their first African ancestors who set foot in the 13 colonies. Ethnic and family pride is what gives them the foundation to go out in the world and continue the legacy of achievement. Ethnic pride should be a reserve of strength to propel people forward.
Grown men who are new to the concept of ethnic pride seem to only mention it when discussing Africans/Islanders. Never as a source of strength to push themselves forward and achieve.

The Valerie Jarrets and Desiree Rogers of the world are aware of who is who, and what Obama and Harris' origins are. Members of these groups have married and absorbed Africans and Caribbeans, as have many Black organizations and families. I mean, the composer of the Negro National Anthem, James Weldon Johnson, was half Caribbean.
These Black organizations and power brokers are trying to improve conditions for Black people. They are the ones who wield the power. The ethnic heritage of the VP candidate that they support factors very little in their drive to get access to the govt. resources to help the community. The big picture.

Great comment breh. You can also add the powerful chicago surrogate that vouched for Obama. Can't think of that brothas name. Basically if you want to go anywhere as a black politician in politics in Chicago and Illinois he has to vouch for you.

Same with Michelle family being connected to jesse jackson, black politicians in chicago and big time black business folks in chicago.

And as you said they gave him the "street cred" with black folks in Chicago which allowed him to matriculate to state senator and to the president.

Get off twitter. We are not thinking about you. We are too inclusive. ADOS ending white supremacy? Jesus crust. That's a tall task. Who are you and where are you from? What is your stake in ADOS getting reparations?

That ending white supremacy part is funny. That is why ask who you are and where you are from.

ADOS has to end white supremacy :wow:

I don't know who you are or where you are from but you can help to end white supremacy at anytime. Nobody is stopping you. Stop looking for us to carry skin folk to the finish line ALL THE TIME. Jesus yall really our sons :mjlol:

No one said she wasn't "black" .
did i say anyone said that?

answer the question i posted. do you think a black person (caribbean, african or american) would (a) go to an hbcu in the 80s when they were booming with african-american students, (b) be able to join what was then one of the most exclusive chapters of a predominantly african-american sorority and not understand/relate to african-american culture or have contempt for african-american culture?

you think they are just pledging c00ns at howard huh? :mjlol:

what this all boils down to is a class issue that many of you are trying to conflate into a race issue bc god forbid all blacks arent poor

focus on her policies or leave it alone.
