Alot of Lakers shots were in the flow of the offense except a bank shot by Reeves and lucky dunk by Rui.

Nuggets had atleast 10 points or more of prayer last second shots.

It's a make or miss league of course but the first half Nuggets looked like comp for the '96 Bulls instead of the current Lakers :pachaha:
Even the Nuggets coach called ut some lucky shots they had, Murray late one against Bron, Joker buzzer beater against AD, etc.. Said they neeeded every one of those obviously

All of them can do more defensively…one of the worst performances of the year on that end

Yea but Denver was being real aggressive. Lakers would be in foul trouble and not able to make it a game in the 4th

Denver can keep their same game plan and win easy

Maybe Lakers need to stop giving up open 3s

Reaves might need to come off the bench and let Rui start

I saw Reaves hit some ridiculous shots and Rui too. Are we expecting Bron to have this type of energy throughout the series to be scoring like he did in Game 1? Are we expecting AD to show up on offense consistently in every game?

The only reason the Lakers are getting the benefit of the doubt from y'all is that the Nuggets' play is foreign to y'all. Naturally, you're going to overemphasize what you believe is an outlier of play for them, but won't apply the same to the Lakers.

We'll know more after the next game where both these two teams sit.

Rui on jokic won't make this a series unless the Lakers guards can defend
yeah they got completely cooked tonight …Ham made a lot of tactical miscalculations in the first half that Denver made him pay for … having his guards go under screens because he was afraid of Jokic on the roll didn’t make them look any better tho :francis:

Dare i say we might see darvin dust off thompson this series if AD gets in foul trouble instead of going small and getting killed on the glass

49ers..Braves..Celtics
Y’all gotta slow with the Rui being the Jokic stopper shyt:whoa:. He will make AD’s load lighter but Denver will adjust

Nah, Denver won't adjust. Malone will just allow Ham to make the change and go unchecked. :mjlol:

The coli is hilarious acting like there aren't two coaches in this series.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Lakers are in uncharted territory for this playoffs in dropping game 1

They beat the Grizz and Dubs in the first two rounds which maybe allowed them to take their feet off the gas for game 2 because they got the split and took home court advantage

How do they respond because they definitely don’t want to go down 0-2?

Will they have tired legs? Will the altitude get to them? Can AD and Bron play 40+ minutes again? Can AD put together a similar performance on both ends?

that’s fine and dandy .. that just wasn’t anywhere close to a good lakers performance defensively and that’s what they hang their hats on not offense …you think bruce brown is going to “easily” drop another performance like that in game 2?

Lakers played as good as they probably can play and took an L

Rui-amazing

Reaves shot 3s like a splash brother

AD 40 points and blocking everything

Lebron 30+ and almost triple double

Dennis- solid play good defense

Who from the Lakers can do more? DLO maybe but whose minute does he take
Cap. They gave up 37 to KCP and Bruce brown in a 6 point game. That’s what they fix.

Also Dennis had ‘solid defense’ yet Murray shot 60%. But I guess that’s repeatable for them tho :beli:

Also Reaves’ game was no surprise and not an outlier. This always figured to be a Reaves series he’s elite in P&R

I’m not worried about reeves at ALL. He had 2 tough 2 way matchups with Bane and klay and stil showed up. Specifically puttin Klay to bed in the last few games. KCP is a 3 point threat but this is a much easier matchup for Reaves he’s gon get loose this series
LA has 2 elite P&R threats in D Lo and AR. Austin Reaves particularly is gonna feast this series

Thread is talking about what sustainable and what is unsustainable

One thing that is for sure unsustainable is Lakers keeping up that pace they played today. They were bottom 5 in transition defense for a reason

It seems like Lakers will struggle with preventing the Nuggets building up huge 20 point leads off of just fast break points
