Watching this because HBO Max recommended. Did not know Boseman had the range to play James Brown like this. He’s legit great. It sucks to enjoy this right now, as weird as it is to say.

Edit: Had to google at one point to find out who did the singing. Apparently Chadwick did most himself. Dude could actually sing. JFC

Watched this religiously when it hit HBO. A very underrated gem and its what mad me a fan of Chadwick Boseman going forward. And as great as his portrayal was I don't think it was Oscar worthy
