Basketball is one thing but I doubt Brooklyn will give two fukks about a hockey team being in the borough.

The city is Rangers country.

I think it's Reb that's always creating the distinction between "old Brooklyn" and "new Brooklyn". I don't think that old Brooklyn would have cared but new Brooklyn will. :manny: but again like all things we'll know for sure with time.

Also, I'm not familiar with the hockey climate but how is the city being a Rangers city different than it being a Knicks city before the Nets relocated? Is it just a matter of not enough people caring about hockey for it to even put a dent in the Rangers fan base?
