If they get Jay-Z to wear a few Islanders merch(jerseys; hats, shirts), they're going to get a lot of new fans. It would be foolish for them to not reach out to Jay for that.

BK is still a hour or less away from the heart of LI, and the MTA will update the LIRR within the next 3 years. Sure, it practically eliminates weekday games for LI'ers, however it brings in more NY'ers(especially Brooklynites) and is more beneficial for the team financially and as far as attracting players through trade and FA.

So I'm taking a look at videos of the old times right when they sucked to when they got good, :wow: @ me recognizing these players. I used to be hardcore into the Isles in those days

from Palffy to Blake, Czerkawski (spelling), and the Yashin singing

I'm a casual Isles fan and I can't name you any other player aside from Tavares. :yeshrug:
Despite that, I'll be in Brooklyn for a few games each year.
