I didn't mind the movie up until that restaurant scene with her sister. It was unexpected but after that the movie got kind of dumb. Especially when his suit got exposed they started venturing into predator territory. The end was also not very creative, I thought it could have concluded better. I was disappointed, wasn't terrible but didn't do nothing for me either. I give it a 2/5.

Word. I think that goes into do you buy the reality of the movie and less do you buy into “reality” because a movie will always be heightened. Even Nolan, who swears his movies are about reality, is clearly working in a heightened reality. So for me it’s not “does this make sense for a real person” and more does this make sense for this character

Is how strong buddy seemed in comparison with everyone else. He was tossing folks around like Rag dolls and 1 punch was destroying everyone.

The other one was would a real person risked going into a lockdown facility just to torment her some more? I get ur invisible, but damn, you could still get trapped in that mfer.

To your second point, I don’t think you or I could ever understand that fully because we’re not abusers or users or psychotic. Trying to understand why a foul person does foul stuff or why someone feels the need to lord their power over a woman to make themselves feel better is kinda moot. The object isn’t to identify with him but with her

Were people really bothered by the abuse thing on some #MeToo shyt?
Because the "woman abused" genre of movie has been a thing for a lot longer than #MeToo has been around.
I mean Holywood has been making those movies for years with everyone from Farrah Fawcett to Julia Roberts to Jennifer Lopez to Reese Witherspoon playing the woman who gets revenge on her abusive stalker husband/boyfriend.

Read the plot and this wouldn't be worth the money to see. I do think you can reimagine Universal's monsters without the "twist" they went with.

The twist just makes it relevant to modern issues which is what all the universal monsters started as. Whether it was fears of science, fear of immigrants, fear of losing yourself, etc. and that’s what gave them their cultural cache.

:pachaha:
I liked it. The movie benefited greatly from what was a stellar acting performance by Elizabeth Moss and Leigh Whannell did some really nice directing to the point that I was scanning every corner of the screen looking for tells that The Invisible Man was there even when he wasn't.
That combo made what was basically a sci-fi Lifetime Television "Woman in Peril" movie into something that was very entertaining.

It really isn't. It's a decent Friday night watch at the crib at best. But seems like the coli bruhs enjoyed it so believe them if u like but it's a run of the mill thriller I regret spending dough at the flicks. U live and learn tho.

Question, cause I was thinking about this: isn’t there a level of disbelief you have to suspend for a lot of horror flicks? Just on premise alone?
This right here. Movie was the bomb. These type of movies always have plot holes and people doing dumb stuff. Part of the effect is having is audience yelling at the screen like :mindblown::lupe::damn::dahell:

People in here that didn’t like it should just admit that this type of movie just isn’t for them.

There are people on this board who hate every freaking thing. Why do even go to to the movies? I betcha if it was porn you would like it. Y’all just got weird taste.
