i feel like anyone who got into the game passed a certain year knew what they were going into.

albums are pretty much an advertisement tool for concerts/shows at this point where as in the 90s it was the opposite. shyt is coming back full circle.

as far as producers, engineers, etc they will still get paid because the artist still needs them to produce the music. the artist just gets the money to pay them through other sources of income (shows, licensing, merch, etc).


i'm not saying you should or shouldn't download music for free. what i'm saying is that any artist/creator getting in the game (music, film, books) should assume people will get it for free at this point and figure out a way to be financially taken care of.
