I understand the argument for and against.

I support my favorite artist whether it's copping the vinyl or going to the show when they are in town.

However I am not paying for no digital download and I'm not paying for CDs either cuz it's a dead technology IMO.

To Pimp a Butterfly, ---- i listened to this once all the way through- - not worth buying

no i dont smoke
i pay for healthy food, gym membership, supplements

n
:dead: think about how retarded it is paying for a gym membership. You pay to lift weights and struggle/tire yourself. supplements and proteins are just a complete gimmick, people think they need to buy one with a gym membership, they go hand in hand together now. Consumers have successfully been fooled :wow:

food isn't bad because its what takes care of you but financially speaking its one of the worst things to spend a lot of money on. It lasts you a few hours, but again it takes care of you so you sorta cant be cheap with food

I respect the time, effort, sacrifice and dedication it takes to be an artist. So long as the artist is not an Uncle Tom or Tomina, I'm happy to buy.

Do you think the shyt is free to make or something? Boy bye. Let that be you one day, trying to make a living off your artistic passions.

This thread is disgusting.

So all the costs that come with making music (production, post-production, recording, mastering, promotion, artwork, distribution, licensing, BMi credits, publishing, copyright, etc) you think that magically pays for itself? You think musicians on labels make music for free? You think record labels stay afloat by putting out music for free? You're a dumbass OP.

:wow:
Dawg, check out discogs.

http://www.discogs.com

there are obscure 90s rap albums in the marketplace starting at $86...
:wow:
Don't even get me started on the vinyl.

At this point the hip-hop game is so devalued I wouldn't be suprised if the 98% of the albums that came out in the past 20+years end up in the hands of white hipsters.

Yeah I agree brehs, I don't get why anyone buy music in 2015. Artists, studio owners, mixers, engineers, producers, record labels and staff, marketing teams, studio musicians, etc. all work for free and don't need money to keep doing what they're doing.

SOME OF YOU ARE fukkING MORONS.

they really don't understand how the game works.

Don't forget CD/Vinyl pressing production plants.

Thanks to people like the OP, lost of people have lost jobs and lots of places (recording studios, clubs, concert venues, etc) have had to close their doors after years/decades of being in business.

They also don't understand that Kendrick's latest album wouldn't have been so good if it weren't for the 300+ people involved in making the album happen. And those people aren't going to work for free, they have to be rightfully paid.

You're actually doing the industry a favor by not buying these albums at full price. What type of shyt is that? $15 for a digital copy and the artists doesn't get a higher rate? How are you doing them a favor by copping that? You're just feeding into the rape.

If you wanna help em out, go to a show.
