I'm scratching my head at the concept that people are too poor to buy a 9 dollar album but have computers and fast enough internet connections to download them.

Not a hard concept at all. How much money do you save going to the dollar menu instead of grocery shopping? Prolly only about 10 dollars, but obviously to a lot of people that's enough of a difference in their survival.

If it's that serious to make a thread over something that doesn't cost more than 10 dollars at a time (no more than 60 dollars a year), then it's obviously something you can't afford. Nothing wrong with that, but it gets annoying when instead of just admitting that, you try to turn it into a social issue when there isn't anything there to make an issue out of.

I used to download albums all day but i went ahead and got Spotify. That way i can put SOMETHING in the artist pocket and support the art by streaming the music i like. 9.99 for the premium a month aint shyt and it still helps the artist.Kendrick just made 60,000 off of Spotify in one day and i was part of that and it cost me next to nothing. If you're a fan of music the least you can do is buy a streaming account.

And I I hope the same people who support this kind of thinking aren't the same ones who get pissed at the artists who cater(c00n it up) to those who do pay.
You know they are :comeon:

"See this without an optometrist
I'm stuck in the middle of this bytch like ya momma's gynacologist
Make a radio hit - heads criticize it;
Underground classic - nobody buys it:
So, rap is fukked and everything blowing up sounds redundant
But money talks and bullshyt does 9 flat in the hundred" - Ras Kass in 1996

We ain't poor. We just saving for better things. :sas1:
Like houses. :sas2:

Yeah that makes sense. 50-100 dollars a year goes a long way towards owning property

Ask the people that go through it. Even on this very website you have people who enthusiastically campaign against a lot of things (cable, living on your own, ect) but have no problem paying for Internet, hyping and buying 60 dollar games, hyping and buying 500 dollar cell phones, hyping and buying 4 digit computers and equipment-- the list goes on and on. Which is why topics like these annoy me.

Way I see it is this. Cats buy food in restaurants on a regular basis. Even if it's fast food cats'll drop 5 in th emorning and 10-15 on a pizza later on. If you can drop that in a day for food that's gonna go in one hole and out the other and you'll be hungry again, then you can spend 10 fukkin dollars on a good CD that's gonna last you way longer
