:russ: :what: This guy is a huge troll. Suggesting TPLF is behind the motion. :patrice: Not sure what his angle is exactly?

He's always been anti-woyane like that. Idk but seems he has upped the ante recently to push for the arrests of people like Getachew Assefa that the TPLF are shielding

They were recently removed of the US sanctions

Sorry for the late response, and i have been very busy.

Here is the reasons, people don't realize.

U.S. relies on Sudan despite condemning it
The nation accused of aiding the killings in Darfur provides spies in Iraq. In return, it gets access in Washington.

"Intelligence cooperation takes place for a whole lot of reasons," said a U.S. intelligence official, who like others spoke on condition of anonymity when discussing intelligence assessments. "It's not always between people who love each other deeply."

Sudan has become increasingly valuable to the United States since the Sept. 11 attacks because the Sunni Arab nation is a crossroads for Islamic militants making their way to Iraq and Pakistan.

"
As a result, Sudan's spies have often been in better position than the CIA to gather information on Al Qaeda's presence in Iraq, as well as the activities of other insurgent groups.

"There's not much that blond-haired, blue-eyed case officers from the United States can do in the entire Middle East, and there's nothing they can do in Iraq," said a second former CIA official familiar with Sudan's cooperation. "Sudanese can go places we don't go. They're Arabs. They can wander around."

The officials declined to say whether the Mukhabarat had sent its intelligence officers into the country, citing concern over the protection of sources and methods. They said that Sudan had assembled a network of informants in Iraq providing intelligence on the insurgency. Some may have been recruited as they traveled through Khartoum.

* Sudan's Mukhabarat, its version of the CIA, has detained Al Qaeda suspects for interrogation by U.S. agents.

* The Sudanese intelligence agency has seized and turned over to the FBI evidence recovered in raids on suspected terrorists' homes, including fake passports.

* Sudan has expelled extremists, putting them into the hands of Arab intelligence agencies working closely with the CIA.

* The regime is credited with foiling attacks against American targets by, among other things, detaining foreign militants moving through Sudan on their way to join forces with Iraqi insurgents.

Sudan has "given us specific information that is ... important, functional and current," said a senior State Department official who agreed to discuss intelligence matters on condition of anonymity. The official acknowledged that the Mukhabarat could become a "top tier" partner of the CIA.

"Their competence level as a service is very high," the official said. "You can't survive in that part of the world without a good intelligence service, and they are in a position to provide significant help."

From Khartoum the view is markedly upbeat.

"American intelligence considers us to be a friend," said Maj. Gen. Yahia Hussein Babiker, a senior official in Sudan's government.

During an interview at the presidential palace, Babiker said Sudan had achieved "a complete normalization of our relations with the CIA."

Intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Salah Abdallah Gosh, who otherwise declined comment for this article, told The Times: "We have a strong partnership with the CIA. The information we have provided has been very useful to the United States."

The paradox of a U.S.-Sudanese intelligence partnership is personified by Gosh.

Today, Gosh is keeping in contact with the office of CIA Director Porter J. Goss and senior agency officials.

In exchange for the collaboration, which has been largely unpublicized, Khartoum wants to be removed from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. It is also pressing Washington to lift long-standing economic sanctions barring most trade between the two countries

With Saudi Arabia, Sudan provided troops for it protracted with Iran in Yemen. Lastly there was always been collaboration between the elite in Saudi Arabia and Israel. Rumors, has it that some royals actually has Jewish ancestry. I am not sure but it is rumored.

Smfh, I know the Americans have a blacksite or two in ET so this might be for the intelligence groups. Ethiopia has too many issues to worry about this shyt too.
The Americans arent interested in him anymore, dude was run out of the group, and agreed to a Government amnesty years ago. This was done on behalf of the Somali Government, he's in Mogadishu now.

He was on the verge of winning a regional election and they were trying to stop it, because they are trying to get all regional leaders under their heel. Robow is popular in his region, so this move lead to immediate unrest.
