No character development besides Bilbo?

You gave it a good score, but thats just crazy when every other scene in the first half was about a certain character not named Bilbo.

Dope movie. Felt like it was up there with the rest of the movies. I was expecting to be bored. Instead I was perked up, trying to take everything in. The action and 3D in 48fps were superb. It was funny, there were huge lines for the IMAX viewings, but almost no one in the HFR viewing. Was talking to dude before the movie, and he was saying it has been like that since midnight the night before. He was saying people just didn't know what HFR was, but they know IMAX, so that's where the lines were.

saying homeboy likes cheese rounds is not character, but that doli joke was funny as shiet. Im not putting a heavy emphasis on it im juts saying it wasn't there, the lead drawf was supposed to be the new aragon, alright Ill let that ride. All I was saying that the reviews have all been saying its good not great, and I agreed with them, Its disapointing form the standpoint of I though all year long, this was going to be movie of the year and clearly its not. In my theater more people saw Taken 2 which a cable movie (because lets face it, that's where Maggie Grace belongs) than saw this, but it was in a black neighborhood

People must understand, LOTR has nothing to do with the hobbit. Your expectations will be a let down. For myself, i saw this last night and it was tedious, as the first scene with the dancing dwarves and them pilling up the dishes is way too long amongst other scenes. The graphics were video game like, the orcs weren't well made and the cgi ruins it. Many scenes should have been deleted or put into an extended version. I had no expectation because i am no fanboy of lotr and the likes. The Hobbit was mentioned to be less dark than LOTR and it was that, cartoonish and all.

I liked thorin oakenshield, he went at that orc g status with the wooden shield, the orcs dont looks as scary because thats what they are theyre just orcs, the scarier ones urukai appear in LOTR after sauramon releases them

But man :krs: @ that scene where gandalf slices off a goblins head

Movie was trash. saw this in HFR 3D and it looked like cheesy PS1 video game graphics. Costumes on the midgets looked fake also. I thought their fake beards were gonna fall off half the time. The little action in the movie was lame and the rest was them running around the woods for no reason. Would have been better if they just released this on the sci-fi channel or something cuz it would fit right in. save your money.

how do they fit in frodo in the story?

the way theyy do it, bilbo starts off writing a story when he is old, and frodo is living with him, he ask frodo to some chores and get ready for some family guest that are coming over. Frodo goes outside to hang a sign and Bibo goes back to writing the story and the movie goes on from there, jumping back 60 years in the past, leaving Frodo and Old bilbo.

Elijah wood looked happy as shiet to be in the movie for ten minutes. This nicca had a half smirk on his face that was a full on beam. That nicca going to looking at his phone like Taylor Kitsch when Episode 7 gets talked about.
