f*ck the haters. the sh*t was dope. it was FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING on RIODS. any technical complaints are really nit-picky at best. but it was on point story-wise, and more action that i actually expected. of course the beginning starts off slow, but that's as well expected as it builds it adventure together. but that's sh*t was dope overall.

Its pretty clear Jackson wasn't going to even try topping Fellowship of the Ring. He is literally winking at the camera in halfway thru the 2nd act and all of the third. I understand the source material was weak but it was unexpected. There is not character development, except for Bilbo and a scene stealing Gollum in the Third Act. You get some cameos sprinkled in including Elijah Wood looking happy as hell, he is in a Lord of the Rings movie again. All in I give it four out of five stars, Full Price, Not Imax material, but its interesting seeing Middle Earth in 3d.

You gave it a good score, but thats just crazy when every other scene in the first half was about a certain character not named Bilbo.
Dope movie. Felt like it was up there with the rest of the movies. I was expecting to be bored. Instead I was perked up, trying to take everything in. The action and 3D in 48fps were superb. It was funny, there were huge lines for the IMAX viewings, but almost no one in the HFR viewing. Was talking to dude before the movie, and he was saying it has been like that since midnight the night before. He was saying people just didn't know what HFR was, but they know IMAX, so that's where the lines were.
