f*ck the haters. the sh*t was dope. it was FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING on RIODS. any technical complaints are really nit-picky at best. but it was on point story-wise, and more action that i actually expected. of course the beginning starts off slow, but that's as well expected as it builds it adventure together. but that's sh*t was dope overall.

Movie was gangsta. None of that Frodo romance garbage. Must see in IMax to experience it though. Bilbo gets my respect.

Its pretty clear Jackson wasn't going to even try topping Fellowship of the Ring. He is literally winking at the camera in halfway thru the 2nd act and all of the third. I understand the source material was weak but it was unexpected. There is not character development, except for Bilbo and a scene stealing Gollum in the Third Act. You get some cameos sprinkled in including Elijah Wood looking happy as hell, he is in a Lord of the Rings movie again. All in I give it four out of five stars, Full Price, Not Imax material, but its interesting seeing Middle Earth in 3d.

I thought this shyt was dope. Though I really wanted to just see more. I wanted to see how epic it could get.

also: 48fps was amazing. the visuals in the film were incredible.

Small Town
I put my vote in for P. Jackson being one of the GOAT directors.

The visuals.

The intro of characters.

The fight with mountain rocks

Must see this again tomorrow.

1st act definitely dragged, especially with all the dwarves in his house.

once the action started to kick in, it was dope though. the whole setpiece with the dwarves escaping the goblin city reminded me of Indiana Jones.

def not as good as LOTR but I don't think Jackson was going for that. just a fun/entertaining adventure flick

still think its ridiculous he split the book into 3 movies though

:what:

No character development besides Bilbo?

You gave it a good score, but thats just crazy when every other scene in the first half was about a certain character not named Bilbo.

Dope movie. Felt like it was up there with the rest of the movies. I was expecting to be bored. Instead I was perked up, trying to take everything in. The action and 3D in 48fps were superb. It was funny, there were huge lines for the IMAX viewings, but almost no one in the HFR viewing. Was talking to dude before the movie, and he was saying it has been like that since midnight the night before. He was saying people just didn't know what HFR was, but they know IMAX, so that's where the lines were.

The Bushes
I would like to see a trilogy of the Silmarillion.

Tons of fighting. Elves vs Elves. Feanor, Fingolfin, and Finarfin ( Galadriel's dad) :whoo:

imagine the visuals :ohlawd:

I love the Sindar Elves, but the Noldor elves gave ZERO fukks.

:wow: excuse me. Just had to get my nerd on for a second:to:
